The primary objective of this morning meeting was to commence the day with a solemn flag-raising ceremony, illuminated by the morning light.

The agenda of this morning meeting included the presentation of the Campus Drama Competition, the exhibition of the works of the Photography Club, and the clarification of safety measures for the upcoming examinations. Concluding the meeting, Principal Jessie provided a summary and shared the arrangements for the winter break following the semester.

Award Presentation for UEC’s English Drama Competition

At the conclusion of UEC’s recent English Drama Competition, students showcased a remarkable array of exceptional performances. Amidst the intense competition, several outstanding works emerged, each deserving recognition.

This week, Ms. Chen and the instructors of the victorious groups honored the students by presenting the awarded prizes. A group photograph was captured to commemorate this momentous occasion.

We anticipate that the students will continue to produce remarkable works in the future.

Photography Club Showcase

Throughout various university extracurricular activities, the Photography Club members, both teachers and students, are consistently engaged in capturing fleeting moments through their photography lenses. During today’s morning meeting, Tang, a representative of the Photography Club, presented a showcase of their recent creations.

The showcased works encompass the club’s recent photo shoot in Chuansha Ancient Town, where the town’s rich historical ambiance seamlessly blended with the daily lives of its inhabitants. The vibrant atmosphere was punctuated by fireworks and the essence of human interaction. Additionally, the photographs from the Double New Year’s Party captured the enchanting moments that transpired on the scene, evoking the nostalgia of cherished memories.

大考注意事项讲解

随着大考的临近，UEC的每一位老师和同学都已做好了充分的准备。考前，储老师贴心地为大家讲解了大考中需要注意的各项事项，帮助同学们以最佳状态迎接考试。

通过储老师为同学们带来的详细介绍，大家对接下来的考试更加充满信心。

Preparing for the Upcoming Examination

As the examination draws near, all faculty and students of UEC have meticulously prepared. Prior to the examination, Mr. Chu meticulously clarified the pertinent topics that require attention, thereby assisting students in optimizing their preparation for the examination.

Through the comprehensive introduction provided by Mr. Chu, the collective confidence of all participants has been significantly enhanced in anticipation of the upcoming examination.

寒假计划

随着大考的开始，本学期的常规教学计划将于本周结束。Jessie校长为同学们介绍了1月6日-1月24日大考季的教学冲刺安排，确保同学们在教学上可以得到最大的保障。并为同学们展望了精彩充实的寒假。

她建议大家把寒假分成3个部分，春节10天和家人在一起享受节日的团聚与欢乐，春节前10天和假期最后的10天两个整段的时间可以利用起来。

尤其AS的同学，下个学期结束就要开始大学申请，假期要在学术活动上面有更多的探索和提升，拓展自己的学术能力，也增加自己申请的砝码。假期也是冲刺雅思考试的黄金时间。因此，Jessie校长建议大家在这个假期，可以分别安排相应的项目。Pre处于低年级的同学，则可以利用假期，广泛地参与更多综合类的项目，充分探索兴趣和发挥自己的能力和特长，增加社会实践经验、拓展视野。同时，她还为我们预告了下周即将到来Pre年级英语拓展专项活动周。

Winter Vacation Plan

As the commencement of the examinations approaches, the customary teaching regimen for the current semester will conclude this week. Principal Jessie has introduced the teaching plan arrangement for the upcoming examination period, spanning from January 6 to January 24, with the primary objective of optimizing student learning opportunity. She also anticipates an enriching and fulfilling winter break for the students.

Principal Jessie recommends that students divide the winter vacation into three distinct segments: a 10-day period dedicated to the Spring Festival, during which students can reunite with their families and celebrate the holiday festivities; two consecutive periods of 10 days each, to be utilized before and after the Spring Festival; and a final 10-day period during the vacation.

Particularly for AS students, who will commence university applications at the culmination of the next semester, the holidays serve as an opportune time for self-exploration and academic enhancement. Students can engage in various activities to broaden their academic horizons, increase the pertinence of their applications, and develop their academic abilities.Furthermore, Principal Jessie suggests that students utilize the holidays to prepare for the IELTS examination. Therefore, she recommends that students undertake independent projects during the break. Students in lower grades are encouraged to participate in a diverse range of general projects, allowing them to explore their interests, develop their skills and specialties, enhance their social interactions, and broaden their perspectives.

Simultaneously, Principal Jessie provided a brief overview of the upcoming English Extension Week for Pre-grades, which will commence next week.
