The results of our Annual Parent Survey (APS) have been released and we are blown away by the feedback! A huge thank you to all our parents who completed the survey at the end of 2024. We received responses from more than 90% of families in the school, which is not only a testament to the high levels of engagement from our parents but also lends significant weight to the feedback, as the data is truly representative of our entire school community.
In terms of the feedback itself, our headline figure is an APS Net Promoter Score of 50. This is regarded as ‘excellent’ across this type of survey and is particularly outstanding within the education industry. This score represents a significant increase of 35% from last year’s 37, which itself was a notable improvement from the score of 19 the year before. Furthermore, our Early Years provision achieved an exceptional score of 88, a level deemed ‘World Class’ across any industry. This reflects the exceptionally high standards and quality evident within this part of our school.
These year-on-year increases in parent satisfaction underscore the commitment of the Principal and Leadership Team to ensuring that NAIS Pudong continues its journey of improvement across all areas of the school. Principal Diane Vaughan reaffirmed this approach:
“The values we created for this school are central to everything we do: Together, we develop creative, confident, and considerate learners who are prepared for their futures. Knowing that our parents feel we are honouring these values is crucial, and I am committed to driving these incredible improvements forward. Achieving a score of 50 this year is a testament not only to the outstanding teachers at NAIS Pudong but also to our holistic approach to teaching and learning. We cultivate an academically challenging environment while supporting students in a personalised and holistic way.”
A selection of our scores can be seen in the accompanying graphic, and we will provide a fuller overview to our community later in Term Two. In the meantime, we continue to explore areas for further improvement where they have been identified.
We would also like to highlight two key ‘yardstick’ results. An impressive 95% of our families feel their child is happy at school, and 96% feel their child is safe at school. Importantly, not one parent strongly disagreed with this statement. Knowing that our community overwhelmingly feels this level of happiness and security for their children is immensely important, and we are committed to ensuring this remains the case in the future.

Thank you once again to all parents in our community for your feedback and ongoing support. We look forward to sharing more detailed insights from this report with you soon.
