Q1：从入学高藤到收获众多名校录取，你最大的感受是什么？

What has been your biggest feeling from entering Gaoteng to receiving multiple offers from prestigious universities?

Rachel：从高中开始申请名校的过程，我最大的感受是“坚持自我”和“深度思考”的重要性。最初，我像许多同学一样，陷入了竞争的压力中，不断追求外部认可。然而，随着对自己兴趣的深入了解，我意识到只有真正专注于自己热爱的领域，才能展现最真实的自己，找到自己的学术兴趣和价值观。

The biggest feeling I've had throughout the process of applying to top schools since high school is the importance of "being true to oneself" and "deep thinking." At first, like many students, I got caught up in the pressure of competition, constantly seeking external validation. However, as I gained a deeper understanding of my own interests, I realized that only by truly focusing on the areas I love could I show my authentic self and find my academic interests and values.

Q2：你认为要取得成功，最重要的是什么？

What do you think is the most important thing to achieve success?

Rachel：我认为最重要的是对自己有深刻的认识和坚持追求真正热爱的事物。在整个申请过程中，我不断反思自己的兴趣和目标，而非仅仅关注外部的标准。跨学科的思维方式可以让我能够更全面地看待问题，也让我在面对挑战时能够保持动力和信心。成功并非一蹴而就，而是在不断的探索中找到自己的独特价值，并在其中获得成长。

I believe the most important thing is to have a deep understanding of oneself and to persist in pursuing what one truly loves. Throughout the application process, I constantly reflected on my interests and goals rather than just focusing on external standards. An interdisciplinary way of thinking allows me to view problems more comprehensively and helps me stay motivated and confident when facing challenges. Success is not something that happens overnight; it's about finding one's unique value through continuous exploration and growing within it.

Q3: 你的未来规划是什么？

What are your future plans?

Rachel：未来我想要在大学中找到和我的专业相关的资源和机会，进一步学习和实践，最终希望能够有机会参与到全球或地方层面的环境保护项目中，推动更加公平和可持续的社会转型。

In the future, I want to find resources and opportunities related to my major in college to further my studies and practice. Ultimately, I hope to have the chance to participate in global or local environmental protection projects to promote a more equitable and sustainable social transformation.

Q4：回顾整个高中生涯，有没有什么遗憾？

Looking back on your entire high school career, do you have any regrets?

Rachel：总体来说没有。有的话可能就是如果再早一点开始刷标化成绩，这样也许我就有机会ed1下车梦校了。

Overall, no. If there's anything, it might be that I wish I had started working on my standardized test scores earlier, which might have given me a chance to apply Early Decision to my dream school.

Q5：有什么建议给学弟学妹？

Do you have any advice for younger students?

Rachel：说不上建议，只是送给大家一句话：成功不仅仅是得到认可，更重要的是忠于自己的选择和方向。不要害怕失败或是犯错，每一个挑战都是成长的机会。保持好奇心和坚持，是帮助你实现个人梦想的每一步。

It's not really advice, but I'd like to share a quote with everyone: Success is not just about getting recognition; more importantly, it's about being true to your choices and direction. Don't be afraid of failure or making mistakes; every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Maintaining curiosity and perseverance will help you take every step toward achieving your personal dreams.
