《关于实施中华优秀传统文化传承发展工程的意见》指出:文化是民族的血脉,是人民的精神家园。文化自信是更基本、更深层、更持久的力量。中华文化独一无二的理念、智慧、气度、神韵,增添了中国人民和中华民族内心深处的自信和自豪。《意见》指出,重点任务之一就是贯穿国民教育始终。构建中华文化课程和教材体系,加强中华优秀传统文化相关学科建设,实施中华经典诵读工程,抓好传统文化教育成果展示活动。
The Opinions on Implementing the Project for the Inheritance and Development of Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture states: “Culture is the bloodline of a nation and the spiritual home of its people. Cultural confidence is a more fundamental, deeper, and more enduring force. The unique concepts, wisdom, magnanimity, and artistic charm of Chinese culture have deepened the confidence and pride within the hearts of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation. One of the key tasks is to permeate the entire national education system: to construct a curriculum and textbook framework for Chinese culture; to strengthen disciplines related to outstanding traditional Chinese culture; to carry out the Chinese Classics Recitation Project; and to ensure high-quality showcasing of the educational achievements in traditional culture.”
“Those who wish for a tree to grow tall must first strengthen its roots; those who desire a stream to flow far must first clear its source. If the source is not deep, the flow will not go far; if the roots are not firm, the tree will not grow tall. The core cultural classics of pre-Qin China are our very roots and fountainhead. In today’s rapidly changing world, young people need an anchor for their spirit and a compass for their lives. The classics cultivate our roots and forge our souls; they enlighten our minds and nourish our hearts. ‘The year’s plan begins in spring.’ At this time of spring’s warmth and blossoming, and in order to carry forward China’s outstanding traditional culture, to create a rich campus cultural atmosphere, to spark teachers’ and students’ interest in reading, and to inspire an uplifting spirit, the Chinese Department has taken the lead in launching the “Bookish Campus · Immersed in Classics” reading campaign. Through diverse reading formats and the profound wisdom of the classics, we awaken the vitality of life—so that teachers and students alike may grow together amid the fragrance of books and the beauty of nature.
2025年3月6日至4月23日,为期四十九天的“书香校园·浸润经典”第一阶段阅读打卡行动取得圆满成功!
The First Phase of the “Bookish Campus · Immersed in Classics” Reading Check-In Campaign (March 6 – April 23, 2025) was a complete success!
Over thirty teachers and students eagerly participated, and nearly sixty more came to observe. In this journey of engaging with the classics, they demonstrated their love for reading through action. Special praise goes to the nearly twenty students who showed remarkable perseverance—whether out on excursions, spending weekends at home, returning to school on Sundays, or caught up in the hustle of regular classes, they never paused in their reading. Day after day, they checked in without fail. Their dedication and steadfastness in classic reading were both surprising and deeply moving. As the Book of Songs reminds us, “Everything has a beginning, but few endure to the end,” but SHBS students have embodied the spirit of beginning well and finishing well, setting an outstanding example for us all.
在此,要特别感谢活动组委会的老师和同学们。从活动策划、规则制定,到过程管理、数据统计、宣传推广,每一个环节都凝聚着他们的智慧与心血。正是因为有了他们的辛勤付出,才让这场阅读活动得以顺利开展,为同学们搭建起浸润经典的良好平台。
We extend thanks to the organizing committee’s teachers and student volunteers. From planning and rule-making to process management, data statistics, and publicity, each link in the chain bore their wisdom and hard work. Due to their diligent efforts, this reading campaign ran so successfully, providing students with an excellent platform to immerse themselves in the classics.
作为活动组织者之一,我也全程参与其中,坚持每日打卡,从未间断。在阅读经典的过程中,我深切感受到经典的无穷魅力——它唤醒沉睡的心灵,让我们以更饱满的状态拥抱生活;它滋养精神世界,不断提升生命的质量与厚度。在参与阅读经典的过程中,我也深切体会到了身教言传的重要作用。
As one of the event organizers, I also participated fully: checking in each day without interruption. Through reading the classics, I felt their inexhaustible charm that awaken our sleeping spirits, enabling us to embrace life with renewed vigor; they nourish our inner world, continually enhancing the quality and depth of our lives. In the reading process, I also experienced the importance of teaching by word and example.
此外,谢同学、胡同学、赵同学还策划设计了“狼人杀之春秋大战”线下活动。对同学们了解先秦历史背景,阅读先秦经典文献起到了兴趣引导作用。
In addition, Ivan Xie, Eason Hu, and KiKi Zhao designed and led an offline “Werewolf: Battle of the Spring and Autumn Dynasty” event, sparking interest in pre-Qin history and guiding participants to read classical pre-Qin texts.
最终,组委会师生根据打卡天数、时长、质量、参与人数等评选出了获奖个人和班级:
Finally, the committee selected award-winners—both individuals and classes—based on check-in days, total reading time, quality of reflections, and level of participation:

Reading is a practice without a finish line. The second phase of our classic reading check-in is already under way, and our passionate teachers and students continue to carry forward their reading perseverance, filling the campus with the fragrance of books. We warmly invite more teachers and students to join us—step into the world of classics, feel the power of culture, and discover a better self through reading! Dear teachers and students, please contact Claire Jiang or Mr. Wu to join the “Bookish Campus · Immersed in Classics” check-in group.

Reflections from Our “Reading Star” Winners:
10年级黄同学 Evony Huang
在打卡活动开始之前,我从未想过自己能读完《论语》《大学》这种一点也不比小说有趣的经典篇目。这次活动给了学生一个机会去挑战一些“不可能”——而且这并不痛苦,因为你可以每天只读5分钟。日积月累的力量比想象中要大得多,所以请开始吧!迈出自己的第一步,完成第一个“5分钟”。
Before the check-in campaign, I never imagined I could finish classics like the Analects or the Great Learning, which aren’t at all as entertaining as novels. This event gave us the chance to challenge the “impossible”—and it wasn’t painful, because you only need five minutes a day. The power of daily accumulation is far greater than you think. So start now! Take your first step and complete your first “five minutes.”
10年级韩同学Brooks Han
我感觉这个活动对我的启发挺大的,尤其是在读书这一方面,既可以学到很多知识,也可以提升自己,我可以在其中了解到很多关于中国古代时期的一些文章和著作,对我们后代的启发很大,也引人深思。以后我也会更加珍惜每次读书的机会,同时也会把这个机会传播出去。
This event inspired me greatly, especially in reading. You can learn so much knowledge and also improve yourself. I discovered many ancient Chinese articles and works, which offer profound insights for future generations and provoke deep reflection. From now on, I will cherish every reading opportunity and share this chance with others.
“班级阅读风尚奖”获奖班级班主任寄语:
Messages from Our Teachers of the Awarded Homeroom:
10年级2班于老师William Yu:
对于完完全全在信息时代成长起来的这代孩子,读书更加是一种奢侈品。经典阅读活动是特别好的起点,引领大家对读书,对传统,对世界与自身的探索。
For students who have grown up entirely in the information age, reading has become a luxury. This classics reading campaign is the perfect starting point, guiding us in exploring reading, tradition, the world, and ourselves.
预备年级A2班卿老师Isa Qing:
这个学期我一直在鼓励学生建立好的微习惯,语文组带领的经典阅读打卡活动给到他们一个完美的契机和动力去建立起每日阅读的微习惯,特别惊喜的是,晨会中当我们提到阅读这一话题的时候,他们对自己近期所读书籍的分享欲有了极大提高。
This semester, I’ve encouraged students to build good micro-habits; the Chinese Department’s classics reading check-in gave them an ideal opportunity and motivation to establish a daily reading habit. I’m thrilled that, PB sessions , their willingness to share what they’re reading has soared.
参与教师谢老师寄语
Insights from Bo, Xie
Under Mr. Wu’s leadership, our “Immersed in Classics” check-in campaign moved me deeply. Learning Chinese traditional classics can’t rely on literal understanding alone, for their wisdom is inexhaustible. At every stage of life, one can gain new insights. Thus, for students, the primary goal is not to fully master them, but to draw close—to plant a seed that will nourish you over the next ten, twenty, thirty, even fifty years. This campaign provided a framework of mutual supervision and collective progress; in that nurturing atmosphere, we were subtly and deeply immersed. Though this event may fade from conscious memory, the seed is sown, and it will bear fruit long into the future. Thinking of that fills me with admiration.
学生组织者10年级姜同学感言
Words from Student Organizer Claire, Jiang:
建群那天非常焦虑,生怕变成没有人参与,结果大家用早餐包子味儿的笔记、深夜文学读后感,把这里变成了“大型真香现场”!最戳我的是谢老师和张同学在群里各抒己见,探讨古代经典在现代社会的适用性,不同年龄和视野下不同观点的碰撞,让我感觉一切努力都值了。看着大家从“被迫营业”到“人均打卡狂魔”,让我非常期待未来还会有什么样的惊喜。
On the day we created the group, I was anxious, fearing no one would join. Instead, everyone’s “breakfast-bun-scented” notes and late-night literary reflections turned it into a massive surprise moment! What made me feel most impressive was Bo and student Zhang passionately debating the modern relevance of ancient classics—the collision of perspectives across ages and experiences made all the effort worthwhile. Watching everyone go from “reluctant participants” to “daily check-in fans” makes me look forward to surprises in the future.
