A Citywalk Weaving "Longevity" into "Heartfelt Care"

2024年10月25日，协和浦东九年级全体学生用3.2公里、3个社区、2条街区的“东明社区慈善Citywalk”，身体力行，为东明路街道银发长者募集了1万元的公益基金。一年后，这笔基金兑现为18份米、油、花露水与家政服务券，由基金会理事长高庆霞带领着学生代表以及聚明心社区规划与营造支持中心代表一起亲手将这份基金送到街道户籍在册的百岁老人家中。
On October 25, 2024, Grade 9 students from SUIS Pudong embarked on a 3.2-kilometer “Dongming Community Charity Citywalk,” traversing three neighborhoods and two pedestrian streets to raise 10,000 yuan for the elderly of Dongming Road Subdistrict. A year later, this fund materialized into 18 care packages—rice, oil, floral water, and home service vouchers—delivered personally by Foundation President Qingxia Gao, student representatives, and Jumingxin Community Planning and Development Support Center members to the homes of centenarians registered in the subdistrict.

脚步与心跳的共鸣
The resonance of footsteps and heartbeats.
回访那天，秋雨先至，天空像一张旧底片，孩子们把脚步的节拍调成心跳，为银发长者冲印出一张“被看见”的彩色照片。
On the day of the follow-up visit, autumn rain fell softly, blurring the sky like a faded photograph. The students’ footsteps echoed their heartbeats, creating a vivid, colorful snapshot of care for the silver-haired elders.

“刚见面时，张爷爷不似绝大多数老人坐在椅子上，他稳健站起，与我们有说有笑。”102岁的老兵张寿敖用军礼迎接少年，雨水从屋檐滴落，天空跟着缓缓透出一丝光亮。这几位爷爷奶奶，“让我感受到生命的可贵，就是倾尽全力的活着，活下去！”
“Unlike many other elders who were seated in chairs, Mr. Zhang stood there and greeted us with warmth and laughter.” Shouao Zhang, a 102-year-old veteran, welcomed the students with a crisp military salute as rain dripped from above, a faint glow piercing the sky. “These elders taught me the essence of life: to live fiercely and keep going no matter what.”

“我们悄悄推开第一位百岁老人的家门……居委老师提醒我们要脱鞋。”103岁徐惠芳奶奶的房间一尘不染，女儿代为讲述日常趣事；104岁张慧珍奶奶耳背，却用笑容“听”完来访。她把此次行定义为“上一届Citywalk的闭环”，也是“敬老爱老的新开场”。
“We gently stepped into the first centenarian’s home, reminded by the community teacher to remove our shoes.” Ms. Huifang Xu, 103, lived in an immaculate room, her daughter sharing lighthearted stories of daily life. Ms. Huizhen Zhang, 104 years old and hard of hearing, may not have “heard” the visit, but her radiant smiles show that she certainly felt it. Alice described the walk as “closing the circle of last year’s Citywalk” and “opening a new chapter of reverence for the elderly.”

“Longevity is not just a blessing for the elderly—it’s a testament to the warmth of the family.” Slowing her pace to prioritize connection, Ivonne vowed, “I’ll cherish more moments with my grandparents, so there are no regrets later.”
为谁行走
Who We Walk For
东明路街道60岁以上人口占比35%，百岁老人密度位居浦东新区前列。学生们用Citywalk把“35%”翻译成“100%被关怀”，也把“万里挑一”的百岁人生走成“近在咫尺”的温柔凝视。
In Dongming Road Subdistrict, 35% of residents are over 60, with centenarians notably prevalent compared to other parts of Pudong New Area. Through their Citywalk, the students transformed “35%” into “100% cared for,” turning the extraordinary lives of centenarians into moments of intimate, heartfelt connection.

当同学们把鞋底沾上的芳草气息带回校园，他们把一句悄悄话也写进了下一次行程表：
Carrying the scent of grass on their shoes back to campus, the students penned a quiet promise for their next journey:
“不带地图，带家人；不问终点，问陪伴。”
“No maps, only family; no destinations, only companionship.”
Citywalk的终点从来不是终点，而是把“公益”写成“日常”的新起点。10月，我们将再次出发，期待你的脚步一起上线。
