今秋,协和浦东A Level校区的同学们将课堂延伸至更广阔的现实场域:音乐展会的行业现场、编辑手中的书稿纸张、千年文物的陈列空间。这些户外教学不仅是课程的延伸,更是将学科知识置于真实世界的重要尝试,让学习突破教室的边界,获得更丰富的层次与意义。
This autumn, students from SUIS Pudong A Level Campus extended their classrooms into a series of expansive real-world settings: the dynamic floor of a music industry exhibition, the intimate space of an editor's desk, and the silent halls of ancient cultural artifacts. These field studies served not only as an extension of the curriculum but as a meaningful effort to place academic knowledge within authentic contexts, allowing learning to transcend the walls of the classroom and take on deeper relevance.

Experiencing the Music China Expo



10月22日,在音乐教师Mr. Allen的带领下,G9至A2年级学生前往上海新国际博览中心,参加中国(上海)国际乐器展览会(Music China)。作为全球规模最大的乐器行业盛会,展会集中呈现了乐器制造的最新科技与音乐创作生态。学生通过设备体验、工坊互动与行业对话,全面了解音乐产业的现代化图景,也将课堂所学与行业现实有机联结。
On October 22, 2025, the music teacher, Mr. Allen, led G9 to A2 students to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (Pudong) for the Music China Expo—the largest exhibition of its kind globally. The event showcased cutting-edge musical instruments, innovative technologies, live performances, and one-on-one sessions with manufacturers and creators.
Visitors had access to tailor-made services and first-hand industry insights through a variety of specialized programs including educational workshops, professional forums, and live music shows. Through hands-on equipment trials, interactive sessions, and direct dialogue with professionals, students gained a practical understanding of the music industry, effectively bridging classroom concepts with real-world practice.

From Flipping Pages to Stepping into the "Birth of a Book"



10月23日,我校A1中文组同学走进思南公馆“100位编辑的年度之书”主题书展,开启了一场出版探秘之旅。展览以“书的诞生”为主线,通过手稿、校样、选题单等珍贵资料,完整呈现书籍从灵感到成书的蜕变历程。同学们驻足于编辑的手写推荐卡片前,感受字里行间的温度;通过“红色电话机”聆听作家的心声;在《倾城之恋》的情景再现中与文学人物相遇。这些跨媒介的互动,让文字从平面中跃然而出,化为了可听、可感的立体体验。
On October 23, our A1 Chinese class students embarked on an exploration journey into the world of publishing at the Sinan Mansions book exhibition, "100 Editors' Books of the Year."
Following the theme of the "Birth of a Book," the exhibition showcased precious materials such as manuscripts, proofs, and project proposals, comprehensively presenting the transformation of a book from inspiration to final publication. Students paused before editors' handwritten recommendation cards, sensing the warmth within the lines of text; they listened to authors' voices through the "red telephone" and encountered literary characters in the recreated scenes of Love in a Fallen City. These cross-media interactions brought words to life, transforming them from flat text into an audible and tangible experience.



这次行走的课堂,不仅让同学们直观了解了出版行业,更从商业与文化的双重视角,领悟了书籍背后的人文坚守与时代价值。
This mobile classroom experience not only provided students with a direct understanding of the publishing industry but also allowed them to appreciate the unwavering perseverance and era-defining value behind books from both commercial and cultural perspectives.

Exploring Ancient Greece at the Shanghai World Expo Museum

我校IGCSE与A Level课程的学生近日赴上海世博会博物馆,参访了备受瞩目的古希腊文明特展,踏上了一场富有启发的研学之旅。展览汇集了古典时期与希腊化时代的众多珍贵文物,其中不乏与亚历山大大帝相关的历史遗存,为同学们提供了直面文明印记的难得契机。
Students from our IGCSE and A Level programmes recently embarked on an inspiring educational field trip to the Shanghai World Expo Museum to visit the spectacular Greek Civilisation Exhibit. The exhibition showcased an extraordinary collection of artifacts from the Classical and Hellenistic periods, including pieces connected to Alexander the Great himself.


在人文社科组教师的悉心引导下,学生们以小组合作的形式开展了多项互动与研究性学习:他们既动手绘制细致的历史年表,也对古代艺术品与雕塑进行深入的史料分析;通过解读历史实物、辨析不同时代的艺术风格,同学们对希腊文明为西方社会带来的持久影响有了更为生动的理解。
Throughout the day, students engaged in a range of interactive and illuminating activities, from creating detailed historical timelines to conducting speculative analyses of ancient art and sculpture. Guided by our passionate Humanities teachers, students collaborated in small groups to interpret historical evidence, discuss artistic styles across eras, and deepen their appreciation of Greece's lasting influence on Western civilisation.
