In the cold January wind, as the semester slowly came to an end, teachers were under increasing pressure to help us complete our studies. And just like how they care about our daily condition and emotional status, the wellbeing of the teachers is also important in our SUIS community. So the Wellbeing Ambassadors decided to create our own special Well-being Salon.
This activity was specially planned for teachers, giving them a chance to slow down and relax. The Well-being Salon was set up as a warm and friendly space, where teachers could step away from their busy work and enjoy a short but meaningful break.
As well-being ambassadors, we prepared two main activities. The first was nail painting. Students carefully painted teachers’ nails with different colours and simple designs. During this time, students and teachers talked, laughed, and shared stories. The atmosphere was light and comfortable, and many teachers said it made them feel relaxed and happy.
The second activity was 拼豆 (fuse beads). Teachers were invited to choose colourful beads and create small patterns or designs for themselves. Some made simple shapes, while others took their time to design something special. This quiet and creative activity helped teachers focus, feel calm, and enjoy the moment without pressure.
Throughout the Well-being Salon, the mood was peaceful and welcoming. Teachers smiled more and seemed less stressed. The usual busy feeling of the school was replaced by warmth and care. For students, it was also a meaningful experience, as we were able to give back to the teachers who support us every day.
Through the Well-being Salon, we hoped to show our appreciation and remind teachers that their well-being matters. By caring for each other, we help create a kinder and more supportive school community.
