上周四，我们迎来了巴斯大学人文与社会科学学院副教授Dr. Andrew Manley亲临UEC，为同学们带来了一场融合前沿学术与实用申请指导的招生宣讲会。
Last Thursday, we welcomed Dr Andrew Manley, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Bath, who came to Shanghai UEC and delivered a recruitment talk that blended cutting‑edge academic insight with practical application guidance.

Dr. Manley教授的研究聚焦于城市社会学、文化政策、旅游学以及技术监控与社会控制等交叉领域，擅长运用多元研究方法剖析当代城市问题。学术成果发表于City & Community、Surveillance & Society等国际顶级期刊。
Dr Manley's research focuses on interdisciplinary areas such as urban sociology, cultural policy, tourism, and technological surveillance and social control. He uses a wide range of research methods to analyse contemporary urban issues. His work has been published in leading international journals including City & Community and Surveillance & Society.

Bath's Sports Science is ranked 1st in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2026 and 12th globally in the QS rankings. In 2026, the university was also named Sports University of the Year. As one of only eight elite training centres in the UK, the campus is home to the country's only bobsleigh push‑start track, has produced eight Winter Olympic medals, and hosts an official research centre established by the International Olympic Committee.

本科典型录取条件（以A-Level为例）/Typical undergraduate entry requirements (A‑Level examples)：
多数专业A*AA–ABB

Most programmes: A*AA–ABB
Management and Engineering programmes: usually A*AA
Humanities and Social Sciences programmes (e.g. Sociology, International Development): AAB – ABB
语言要求/English Language Requirements：
雅思：总分6.5（单项不低于6.0），部分专业（如法律、心理学）要求7.0
IELTS: Most programmes require an overall score of 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in each component). Some programmes (e.g. Law, Psychology) require 7.0.

Campus Life
校园位于Claverton Down山顶，是典型的自成一体式校园。全英顶尖的体育训练村（Sports Training Village），校内设施完善，拥有奥运标准泳池、田径场和健身中心，图书馆、学习空间，以及超市、餐厅等生活配套一应俱全。
The campus is located on the top of Claverton Down, a self‑contained campus with stunning views. It features the UK's leading Sports Training Village, which includes an Olympic‑standard swimming pool, athletics track and fitness centre. Campus facilities are comprehensive, including libraries, study spaces, supermarkets, restaurants and more.
超过200个学生社团，包括中国学生学者联谊会（CSSA），定期举办春节晚会与文化交流活动。
There are more than 200 student societies, including the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA), which regularly hosts Chinese New Year galas and cultural exchange events.
