国际学子闪耀OGMUN国际模联舞台！

       4月4日至6日，2026年牛津大学-上海中学国际部国际模拟联合国大会（OGMUN - SHSID Model United Nations Conference 2026）在上海圆满举行。我校两位学生代表学校出征，与来自各地的代表们围绕全球热点议题展开辩论、磋商与协作，在激烈的思想碰撞中展现了西澳学子的风采。

From 4th to 6th April, the 2026 Oxford Global Model United Nations – Shanghai High School International Division Conference (OGMUN-SHSID MUN Conference 2026) was successfully held in Shanghai. Two students from our school represented the institution, engaging in debates, negotiations and collaboration with fellow delegates from various regions on pressing global issues. Their performance in these intense exchanges of ideas truly showcased the calibre of our students.

       模联是课堂之外的“世界模拟器”。我校鼓励学生积极参赛，不仅因为它能锻炼公众演讲、批判性思维和跨文化沟通能力，更因为我们希望学生尽早理解：真实世界的问题没有标准答案，需要站在不同立场去倾听、协商与妥协。两位同学化身“外交代表”，沉浸式参与议题分析、文件撰写和多边谈判，正是我校“全人教育”理念的落地——学术成绩之外，培养解决复杂问题的胆识与格局，才能在未来真正担当。此次OGMUN大会由牛津全球与上海中学国际部联合举办，为初涉模联的学生提供了专业而包容的成长平台。

Model UN is a “world simulator” beyond the classroom. Our school encourages students to take part not only because it hones their public speaking, critical thinking and cross-cultural communication skills, but also because we want them to understand from an early age that real-world problems have no ready-made answers – one must learn to listen, negotiate and compromise from different perspectives. Our two students, acting as “diplomatic representatives”, immersed themselves in issue analysis, resolution drafting and multilateral negotiations. This is a true reflection of our school’s “holistic education” philosophy: beyond academic results, it is about cultivating the courage and vision to solve complex problems that truly equips our students for the future. The OGMUN conference, jointly organised by Oxford Global and Shanghai High School International Division, provided a professional yet inclusive platform for growth for those new to Model UN.

       比赛的结果固然引人关注，但更珍贵的是这段经历本身。在会议中接触国际议题、结识志同道合的伙伴、每一次说服与让步的谈判尝试，都是课本无法给予的人生财富。希望同学们不只埋头于分数，大胆走出舒适区，去拥抱模联、辩论、志愿者等更广阔的天地。

Of course the competition results draw attention, but what matters far more is the experience itself. Engaging with international issues at the conference, meeting like-minded peers, and making every attempt at persuasion or compromise in negotiations – these are life’s treasures that no textbook can provide. I hope our students won’t bury their heads solely in grades, but will boldly step out of their comfort zones and embrace the wider world of Model UN, debate, volunteering and beyond.

       输赢终会过去，而在探索世界中获得的视野、在挑战中磨炼的勇气、在与世界对话中形成的独立思考，将伴随你们一生。愿每位西澳学子勇敢站上属于自己的舞台，去发声、去碰撞、去成长！
