ISS and Guangdong ULink Education Group, in collaboration with its brands NCPA and ULC, hosted its inaugural information session on May 27th to showcase the Guangzhou ULink International School (GUIS) and launch its kindergarten levels. 

5月27日，ISS和广东优联教育集团品牌下的NCPA和ULC两所学校联合举办了首届信息发布会，正式向公众展示了全新的GUIS学校并推出了GUIS幼儿园。

The GUIS team presented their innovative educational plan, methodology, and pedagogy in the prestigious and well recognized library facility of NCPA. They elaborated on the school's "Pathways to purposeful Lives" philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of creating direct and progressive opportunities for students and families through the K-12 continuous education cycle. GUIS’ vision is to become a K-12 international school by building their pre and primary school curriculums based on the successful and long-established program of study at Shekou International School (SIS), while then utilising NCPA’s and ULC's preparatory curriculums for the final years.

当天在布置精美有序的NCPA图书馆中，GUIS团队展示了他们极富创新的教育理念、设计、和教学法。他们详细阐述了学校关于“人生之路”的教育哲学，强调通过K-12持续教育周期为学生和家庭创造直接和阶段性衔接机会的重要性。GUIS的愿景是通过在蛇口国际学校(SIS)成功经验的基础上建立他们的学前和小学课程，并在最后几年利用NCPA和ULC的中学及大学预备课程，成为一所高品质的K-12国际学校。

Ms. Lorraine Butler, the founding principal of GUIS Kindergarten explained that the school's objective is to take early years education to a whole new level. GUIS is committed to fostering a “love of learning” by providing choice, progression and achievement through its carefully designed pathways. The school's pedagogy is based on inquiry-led learning, which encourages children to explore, investigate and discover their interests and talents.

GUIS is dedicated to building a strong sense of community by involving families in the creation and development of the school. The kindergarten program will be based on IB methodologies, while also incorporating strong Chinese elements in the learning process, journey and activates of all students. 

GUIS致力于通过让家庭参与到学校的创建和发展中，从而建立紧密的社区意识。幼儿园课程将以IB教学理念为基础，同时在所有学生的学习过程和活动中融入强大的中国元素。

GUIS will open its doors this September, offering Nursery (2years old), Prek1 (3 years old), Prek2 (4 years old) and KG (5years old) classes. Over the coming months, the team will continue to host information sessions and community activities.
