Mr. Balcombe来自英国，曾在英国本土两所学校任教多年。2013年，Mr. Balcombe来到中国，开启了国际学校的教学生涯。30余年的一线教学经验，让Mr. Balcombe对于幼儿教育及国际教学拥有深刻见解，他始终坚信——快乐的孩子就是最好的学习者。在教学团队管理上，Mr. Balcombe也拥有一套独门秘籍，他将所有老师拧成一股绳，向着一致的教学目标齐发力。
谢菲尔德大学 汉语研究 学士
（一等荣誉学位及年度最佳学生）
Ms. Heron本科毕业于谢菲尔德大学的汉语研究专业，并获得一等荣誉学位，期间还前往南京大学进行了为期一年的交流学习。本科期间，她还是谢菲尔德大学的学生大使，运营学校官方社交媒体账号并代表学校在中国进行演讲与答疑。从中学开始，Ms. Heron就对中国文化及教育产生了浓厚的兴趣。大学毕业后，她就满怀热忱来到中国，从国际幼儿园的主班老师开启了她的教育生涯。Ms. Heron善于根据每位学生的特点设计个性化课程内容，并始终课堂氛围的丰富多彩

Ms. Hanley本科毕业于伦敦政治经济学院，并拥有超过9年的教学经验。过去的几年里，她一直担任一线主班老师。与此同时，她还不断充实自我，目前正在攻读莫兰大学的教育学硕士学位，期待学习更多专业技能。Ms. Hanley坚信沟通和创造力在早期教育中的重要性，并注重将前沿知识与科技运用在日常课堂中。
Ms. Nel于2019年来到中国，曾先后在两所知名国际学校担任英文教师及主班老师，这也让她更为了解幼儿教育与中国家庭。丰富的工作经历是她广泛兴趣的落脚点，Ms. Nel也非常注重培养孩子们的个人兴趣和特长。通过丰富多彩的设计，她的课堂既有趣又有意义，她还非常擅长用歌曲和舞蹈来建立孩子们的自信心并帮助他们学习英文词汇。

Excellent teachers are a key factor in the well-rounded development of children, and the faculty of an international school is, therefore, a key metric by which to assess its quality. During the first few years of their education, children's learning is especially dependant on their teachers. The King's School Shenzhen has from its inception made sure to employ a professional and rigorous recruitment process, to ensure that its teachers without exception meet the highest standards of competence and can be entrusted with the crucially-important task of teaching our students.
As a new school year dawns, we at KSS have made preparations to take the quality of our teaching to new heights. James Balcombe, who has over 30 years of experience in teaching and school leadership, has been appointed the new Co-Head of Pre-Prep, and our Pre-K and K1 classes are welcoming three excellent new teachers. All of our teachers will work together as one and combine their care and professionalism to guide our students along every step of their journey towards adulthood.

Mr. Balcombe is from the UK, where he spent many years teaching at a couple of schools. He came to China in 2013 to embark upon a career in international education. His more than 30 years of experience have given Mr. Balcombe a profound understanding of early childhood and international education, and have instilled in him the belief that "happy children are the best learners". He also possesses a rare set of managerial and organisational skills on account of his experience in school leadership. In particular, he is an expert at team building, and at making sure that everyone is working hard and working together to achieve all of the school's learning goals for its students.

Ms. Heron spent four years studying China and Chinese at the University of Sheffield, including a year abroad at Nanjing University. During those four years, she was a Student Ambassador for the University, which included representing the University in China. Throughout her secondary school and university studies, she displayed a strong interest both in China and in education. Upon graduating top of her year with a first-class honours degree, she moved to Shenzhen and started teaching at an international Kindergarten, where she became the lead teacher. Ms. Heron is skilled at tailoring the curriculum to the individual needs of her students, and always ensures that her classroom is an enriching and colourful learning environment.

Ms. Hanley has taught children of all ages at a range of international schools for the past 9 years. For the last four years, she was a Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher. In addition to her BSc from the London School of Economics, she is currently working towards her Master's in Education from Moreland University in the USA. Ms. Hanley is a firm believer in the importance of communication and creativity in Early Years education, and pays attention to the integration of technology in the classroom.
Bachelor's in English Literature and Language, Harris University
Ms. Nel has been teaching in China since 2019, first as an English teacher in Shenyang and most recently as an English Homeroom Teacher at a Kindergarten in Shenzhen. She is an English Literature and Language graduate of Harris University, and has work experience teaching in her home country too. Ms. Nel works hard to make her classes both fun and educational, and likes to use song and dance to build her students' confidence and help them learn English vocabulary.
