This school year, King's Pre-Prep has bolstered its teaching staff by assigning four teachers to each class. A Homeroom teacher, a Co-teacher, a bilingual teaching assistant, and a teacher's aide will support the children throughout the day, helping them grow up healthily, happily, and full of confidence.
The Homeroom teacher and Co-teacher will be responsible for teaching English, Chinese language, mathematics, and science classes, helping the children make progress in their language learning. The bilingual teaching assistant will provide additional support to help the children better understand and apply what they have learned. The teacher's aide, on the other hand, will take care of the children's basic needs, fostering good habits and self-reliance. The entire teaching team's goal is to ensure the children grow up healthily, happily, and full of confidence, providing them with the best support and guidance for their overall development.

The changes in King's Pre-Prep for the new school year are not only reflected in the teaching staff but also in the improvements to the classroom environment. Each class has chosen an animal as its symbol and used it as inspiration for creating diverse and wonderful learning spaces. This approach not only gives the classroom a fun and creative feel, but also allows the teachers to integrate the symbolic meaning of their class animals into daily teaching and activities. We intend, thereby, to provide children with an inspiring and enjoyable learning environment, sparking their curiosity and spirit of exploration, and allowing them to learn and grow in a positive and pleasant atmosphere.
Today, let's check in on K31 and K32, and see what their teaching teams and planned activities will look like this school year.
Despite their relatively small size, badgers exhibit astonishing strength. In particular, honey badgers are known as "the world's most fearless animal" and are featured in the Guinness World Records. The teachers of K31 believe that badgers can serve as excellent role models for the children, encouraging them not to fear anything and to face any challenge courageously.
As new members of the Badger Class, the children of K31 were introduced to this unfamiliar word and the badger as an animal in the first week of school. K31's teachers named each of the class’s groups after different types of badger, such as the American badger, Asian badger, honey badger, and European badger. The groups worked together to create various badger masks to gain a better understanding of this animal. Additionally, the teachers have incorporated the symbolic spirit of the badger into their class lessons and activities, allowing the children to gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics and virtues of badgers.
Over the course of their final year of Pre-Prep, the children become more independent and develop a better understanding of rules. During this stage, they can independently complete most daily tasks and establish a stronger sense of mutual assistance and honour. To meet their developmental needs, the teachers of K31 work hard to create a classroom environment that supports the children's independent learning and activities while giving them a strong sense of belonging. Additionally, the teachers focus more on phonics and mathematics to enhance the children's academic abilities. The children in K3 also attend classes at King'sPrep School each week, allowing them to become more familiar with the main campus and better understand Prep school life.

K32 has chosen the eagle, known for its sharp observation skills and wisdom, as their class symbol. The teachers aim to cultivate curiosity and keen observation in the children through the spirit of the eagle, encouraging them to bravely explore the world around them. Additionally, K32's teachers believe that eagles possess unwavering determination and relentless perseverance. These qualities are highly important for the K3 children, and the teachers hope that they develop such ambition and resilience.
Over the past two weeks, K32's teachers and children have shared their stories and discussed their favourite books, colours, animals, and songs. The classroom of K32 is always filled with a joyful atmosphere, and singing is often used to explore the classroom and engage in daily activities.
