In the process of training the students,I divided all the words to be remembered in the junior high school group into 120 groups of words, everyone have to memorize 20 groups of words. Read aloud and uploaded the recording every day. I will listen to them every day before guiding them. I tsught everyone to tell the characteristics of a word, splitting it from three aspects of sound, form and meaning. Focusing on the trip in the pronunciation of the word (the letter that is not pronounced or does not conform to the pronunciation rules).
During the holidays, considering that the students have their own itineraries, I regularly organize online training. I pronounce it and students take turns to spell the word. If you encounter a word that is difficult to remember, let everyone discuss and share it, disassemble it many times, understand and think about the characteristics of the word, and finally remember the word.
During this competition, I am very grateful to Jessica's mother for walking with us. She has given a lot of care to the children in terms of schedule and food.
And our children, who have experienced this game have a deeper understanding of words and a deeper understanding of the pronunciation and spelling rules of English words. Moreover, the children leave home and travel far away from their parents, and still maintain self-discipline and self-care at all times. They were able to follow the teacher’s requirements when they were out. They attended the hotel training on time before the game. They went to bed and got up on time， took the initiative to clean the room before leaving the hotel, bagged the garbage, and was extremely self-disciplined in personal management. This made me quite happy.
The children also know how to care for me. When we watching the final game, I left my seat and went to the bathroom and walked around. They saw that I hadn't come back for a long time, they were all worried about me. I was very touched by the care they sent.
Most of teams in the finals have participated multiple times. Although we participated for the first time, we still won the sixth place in the country. I also believe that in next year’s competition, we will perform even better and get even better score!
