The educational philosophy you agree& Highlights in teaching：

“Interested students learn interesting things.”

I believe that when lessons pique the interest of the students enough, a teacher will no longer be forcing the information onto them but actually guiding them through the material as needed. In my experience this a best achieved by presenting the material in a way the students can relate to be it visual aids or with stories.

Hobby and interest：

Spending a significant part of my life in the north of china I've learned to snowboard and camping in the snow. Though reading was a boyhood pleasure for me, I still continue to read in my commute time and before bed and that includes anything from fiction, fantasy through to history. Currently living in the south of China allows me to enjoy more sports in the sun, my sports of choice are tennis and ultimate Frisbee.

When did you want to be an educator?

Though there are quite a few teachers in my immediate family like my mom and dad, i actually wanted to per-sue a more technical career. That was until i was until a part time job went from me teaching a few classes to offering me the role of being the head of that classroom. From then on everything else just felt like a t-shirt that wasn’t my size. It just didn’t fit right and from since then I've not felt as comfortable doing anything else than I am in the classroom.

The educational philosophy you agree& Highlights in teaching：

Students are individuals and different from one another and are often on different development levels. Some students need more guidance and help, while others need to be more challenged, some thrive in group work while others need to be given space to figure things out by themselves. With smaller classes teachers have more opportunities and time to give their students more individualized and tailored attention. For this a teacher has to not only know his or her way how to understand something, but also be able to figure out several other ways to get from point A to B.

Teaching is a symbiosis of the school, the teacher, the students, the parents and the society in large. What we want for our students is a world that is kind, fair and just, the students will grow up and be asked to play their part and we are there for them to get there.

Hobby and interest：

I love philosophy, literature, theater, martial arts, basketball, traveling, eating good food and having endless conversations about all these things.

When did you want to be an educator?

I figured I could and maybe should be a teacher somewhere during the years I was doing my Master’s in philosophy. I noticed I loved sharing knowledge and that without sharing it, it’s useless and meaningless. This was also after I decided I didn’t want to be an actor. Teaching to me, kind of combines the things I have learned in philosophy and acting, being analytic, being able to understand different ways of understanding something, thinking about thinking and knowledge and with acting, it’s being able to empathize with many different types of characters, knowing how to use space and your voice and body to reach an audience. This I mostly figured out after I started teaching, because as the philosopher I’ve studied the most, Kierkegaard, would say “Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.”.

My visual art teaching takes HGCA as its core: Happiness, Guidance, Creativity, and Application.

Innovation is an inexhaustible driving force for the continuous development of a nation, and it is also the core requirement for cultivating talents in our future education. Visual arts classroom venues will be more diverse, such as classrooms, playgrounds, and art galleries, with diverse materials, teaching methods and media. The younger the children are, the more they should dabble in various painting methods, try a variety of materials and learn from others, rather than going for a fixed answer or result.

Hobby and interest：

I love to create and explore leather art, illustration, oil painting, sculpture,photography, handcrafted silverware and pottery.

When did you want to be an educator?

As soon as I came to Shenzhen 12 years ago, I was deeply attracted by this city, because it is an innovative city full of hope. The young people here are not only energetic, but are also full of innovation and creativity. And BCIS is the most shining star in this innovative world. It can be said that BCIS has fulfilled all my dreams of art education and every teaching idea of mine can be successfully rooted in the soil that cultivates the flower of innovation.

My educational philosophy is teaching every child how to express himself/herself through art. This demands that the students learn to observe and experience the world in a different way. The language of art, like the language of words, requires the learning of skills and concepts that will allow the free flow of expression.

Hobby and interest：

I like dancing, climbing mountains and drawing. Sports make me happy and painting makes me calm.

When did you want to be an educator?

I am devoted to education because of my art teacher in High School. He encouraged me and guiding me during the most trying times at that point of my life. He made me see the influence of teacher can have on students, which made me determined to become a teacher who can help and inspire students like he did .

“Every student can learn”is my educational philosophy .

I care about and love students, can quickly get the trust and love of students, establish close relationships with students, and let them love learning in a safe and warm environment. I am also good at observing students, and I can quickly understand the strengths or weaknesses of each student in a short time, and formulate personalized teaching plans in teaching, so as to give full play to the strengths of each student and make them improve to varying degrees.

Hobby and interest：

I like sports, such as running, boxing, dancing and skiing. Sweating after exercise can make me feel happy and alive. Having a healthy body and abundant energy is my goal.

When did you want to be an educator?

I was born in a teacher's family. My parents have been teachers all their lives. I have heard my parents talk about their students since childhood. Their faces are very calm, but their tone is full of pride and pride. So I aspired to be a teacher since childhood. After teaching for so many years, I am more and more sure that my choice is correct. It makes me feel so happy to be with the children, and watch their progress. I like my job.

Teaching benefits teachers as well as students. As far as I am concerned, the relationship between teaching and learning is symbiotic, teachers and students can make each other better.

The warmth and safety of the relationship between teachers and students is a prerequisite for protecting students' intellectual curiosity. To be a teacher who respects, listens to and pays attention to students, who is trusted and liked by students, so that children will fall in love with the subjects. Therefore, I will be gentle but firm and pay attention to each student to make sure that every student can be seen in my class.

The most fundamental function of language learning is to understand others and express oneself. Therefore, I attach great importance to situational teaching, combining life scenes to create real situations, so that students can apply what they have learned.

Hobby and interest：

I have a wide range of hobbies and try to be an interesting person.

I like reading and writing to share my opinions.

I like art, such as art exhibitions, movies, music and drama. I am good at calligraphy and painting.

I like sports very much. Swimming ,running and cycling are my favorite. I also like traveling and cooking.

When did you want to be an educator?

A mother is the first teacher of a child. When I became a mother, I began to think seriously about how to be a "good teacher". So I began to focus on education related professional knowledge. I can feel a strong sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in raising my children. Therefore, I began to take the entrance exam for postgraduate study, determined to become a professional educator. Now I have been a professional Chinese teacher for years, and I am very proud of it.

“Not giving up each student”is my educational philosophy .

In my philosophy, each student has his unique shining point. Therefore, in my teaching life, I am good at constantly discovering the bright spots of students in daily learning, and then support and encourage them, so that students can grow and progress faster. In addition, in daily teaching, try to understand students more, care for students more, so that they can learn more knowledge in a safe and warm atmosphere.

Hobby and interest：

My hobbies are reading and cooking. In reading, I can not only gain a lot of knowledge, more, it can fill my mind and make me more peaceful. Cooking delicious food for family and friends and seeing them like it makes me happy.

When did you want to be an educator?

I come from a "teachers' family". My grandfather, uncle, and cousins all regarded teaching as their lifelong occupation, and my mother used to be a teacher,too. After graduating from university, I began to try to be a teacher. In the process of getting along with students, I realized the happiness that "teaching and learning" brought me, and also realized the value of "benefiting others" brought by this profession. So I decided to make teaching as my lifelong career.

I found my passion for teaching as I raised my two kids. I realized I am good at understanding their needs and playing with them. It was natural and easy to build a trusting relationship with them. It was this experience that inspired me to get my teaching license and become a teacher. I am happy being a teacher.

Education is a vital part of a growing child's life. They learn essential life skills in elementary schools, such as language, math, science, and the arts.  

First, education should be student-centered by meeting every student’s needs through differentiated instruction.  

Next, students should be active learners. A teacher needs to nurture students’ curiosity in learning by creating engaging learning opportunities that are challenging and age-appropriate by developing critical thinking skills.

Hobby and interest：

I like reading books. One of my favorite authors is Neil Gaiman, and he is a jack-of-all-trades kind of writer. One of my other hobbies is listening to music, which can lower stress, elevate my mood, and strengthen my learning and memory abilities.

When did you want to be an educator?

In 2017, one of my neighbors said that they think I have the qualities of a teacher, so why don’t I try to be a teacher? It was like a seed planted in my heart, so I tried teaching some people. I have helped many students during my years of teaching and I'm glad I've had the experience to continue to help students learn and grow.

When did you want to be an educator?

I changed my job from a manager to a teacher because I had my first child, I think to be a great mother is more important to be a career woman. I love children. Children are our future. There were many defects in our childhood education. I don't want them to follow my old path. They deserve better education and more choices. I have to learn, so I switched to education. In the past few years of education, I feel that I have made the right choice. This is my favorite job. I enjoy the time spend with children and learn from them. I hope to help children find themselves and be themselves forever.

Students are the stars of the future. It gives me a sense of achievement to accompany them and be their help. In my opinion, it is necessary for me to conduct effective classroom management by focusing on students. I believe the classroom is a living community and that everyone, from the principal to the students to the parents, must contribute in order to maintain a positive atmosphere. As a teacher, I care more about how to pay attention to each student, so that they can express themselves more confidently. Helping students become who they want to be makes my work very meaningful and valuable.

Hobby and interest：

Nature, music and food are the best gifts in the world. I used to go hiking and camping, and still love to do. Staying with my family or friends will make me feel safe and loved. We can enjoy the delicious food together and listen to the beautiful lyrics. Playing all kinds of ball games are interesting to me. Sometimes, I like to stay alone or go swimming. I believe, exercise makes people healthy.

When did you want to be an educator?

For me, in the beginning, working in education was outside my career plan because I felt that repeating the same knowledge would get me bored. Until I was fortunate enough to go to Qinghai to teach with my friends for half a month. In those days, I felt the limitless creativity and plasticity of being with children and realized that there are so many different and fun ways to teach students in accordance with their aptitude. After having teaching experience, I deeply realized the joy of sharing and the importance of thinking to influence people. I found myself enjoying learning and playing with my children. Since then, I have a strong sense of mission: to pass on knowledge and help students grow better.

I’m a quite adventures person. Outside of teaching, I like running. I used to join marathons. I enjoy playing going to new places and travel around.

When did you want to be an educator?

I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was young. I was absolutely obsessed with my middle school teacher, Ms. Sun. She was sweet, creative, involved, and dedicated to making her students the best they could be. I was shy and didn’t have the courage to speak up when I first joined her class. She was the one person who didn’t make me feel bad for having those feelings and the one person who took the time to understand why. I was sensitive, scared, and had difficulty with writing and reading. She took the time to sit with me, encourage me, and made me feel like I was enough. I was so inspired by educators like her I met along my journey ever since then. Even until today I still just wan to be a good like just like her.

When did you want to be an educator?

I wanted to be a teacher when I was a first grade student. I believed it was great to be someone who is intelligent and powerful. As I grow up, I figure out being a teacher is not that easy, but it is wonderful to have great influence on students, teach them something they don’t know and lead them to be productive members of the society will bright me a sense of achievement. Therefore, I majored in education, and learn how to teach systematically in university. I become a teacher since I graduated from college. It is marvelous to work with children as they are so energetic and innocent. I am happy to see them making progress everyday.
