Greetings, We are very excited to introduce you all to our amazing program that we are holding this Christmas Holiday.
Why is it important to learn about business?
Learning about business can be very beneficial to our students in the 21st century. As learning about business include accounting, finance, inferential statistics, Marketing and etc. Which are all important skills to have when we are growing into our adulthood. Learning about business not only helps our students organize businesses, but can also shape their minds to approach every decision in their life with an eye trained for business, it is a vital skill to have if when they decide to become young entrepreneurs.
For students who are considering an MBA or degree associated with business.
There are four points that are very important to remember when choosing an MBA course.
1. You would need solid theoretical knowledge. Stockpiling a strong foundation of basic related knowledge can bring you a much stronger presence in the world of business in the future. With our knowledge packed program taught by our top professors from Cambridge Judge Business school, they would be able to build that foundation needed to hold them up in any business environment.
2. Your learning abilities need to be top notch. The most well-known trait of any successful business owner or worker is the passion they exude for learning new things and their ability to adapt to changes that is happening to the market everyday. To be adaptive requires knowledge of all sources, that’s why you need to cultivate that passion for learning, and use the knowledge well. With our program we will teach our students how to apply the knowledge they’ve learned from our lectures to complete tasks such as market research and making a mock business plan etc. To teach our students how to learn efficiently, how to store the information and how to use said information to bring what is in their minds to reality.
3. EQ (Emotional Quotient) is one part that is always overlooked but can prove to be fatal to any business owner. Good communication skills and know how to be a team player can sometimes bee the rise and fall of an empire. Most business is based on communication, trust and teamwork. So knowing how to work as a team on a project is a very important quality professors look for in candidates. At our program they would be split into groups and complete projects as a team, to train their leadership skills, how to communicate your thoughts and ideas in a group setting and so much more.
3.情商是一个经常被忽视的方面，但对任何企业家来说忽视它的后果都会非常严重。良好的沟通技巧和知道如何成为一个团队合作者，有时可能关乎一个企业的兴衰。大多数企业都建立在沟通、信任和团队合作的基础之上。因此，知道如何在项目中进行团队合作是大学教授在候选人身上非常看重的一项品质。在我们的课程中，学生们将被分成不同的小组，以团队的形式完成项目，从而训练他们的领导能力，以及如何在小组中表达自己的想法等等。
4. Last and not least, Planning. Planning your goals, your time, your life. Why are some of us so successful, yet some seems to struggle to even find time to simply read a book? The answer is planning, without planning you can never find your true potential and your limit, you will always feel as if there aren’t ever enough time in the day unless you plan your time and use it wisely. At our program we will teach our students how to plan their time to reach their full potential, how to plan a startup and how to plan their own finances.
Why are Personal Statements so important?
As a professor at Cambridge I have seen so many students with great academic performances who gets turned away from top universities. Not because of their performances in the classroom and standardized test scores, but from the lack of personalities shown on their personal statements when applying. Personal statements are the only way for admission to find out who you really are and are you fitting for the program you are applying. So it is crucial to show all your best personality traits and accomplishments in your personal statements. That is why we have partnered with Lighthouse education to bring this program to all Y10 - Y13 pupils at Merchiston Shenzhen. All students who attend will have a chance to get their Personal statements revised by Cambridge standards. This is a great opportunity for students who haven’t started on their PS to get a direction on how they should write their PS for college application. For the students who already have their PS ready, this is an opportunity to polish what they’ve already written and have the perfect PS to make them stand out from thee pool of candidates.
Letters of recommendation
Letters of recommendations are a great way for admission to confirm applicants’ achievements and academic abilities. It is also a way for professors to add an extension to how they perform and polish what the student have already submitted. At the end of our program students with the best performance in their assigned groups will receive a personal academic recommendation letter from our professors and the rest of the pupil will receive a standard academic recommendation letter that they can use in their PS as one of the many achievements they have accomplished.
