房校长介绍道，“幼小衔接不等于突击教育，虽然从时间的维度来看，幼小衔接特指孩子上学前半年和入校后半年的时间，但从成长的连续性上来说，其实孩子整个幼儿园期间都是在为孩子上小学做准备，因此家长、老师都应该将幼小衔接的内容内融合在幼儿日常的生活和学习中，循序渐进。幼小衔接不等于多学知识，事实上，学习兴趣、学习习惯、学习品质对儿童在学校能否取得成功尤其重要，因此家长不能一味只注重学科学习，而应该更多注意到校园活动、交友等对儿童成长带来的影响。”

The transition from kindergarten to primary school is a big step for both the child and the family. The child will be moving from a small, nurturing environment to a larger classroom with many new faces and teachers.

For this reason, NAS Shenzhen has launched a series of primary school experience day activities for nearby kindergarten schools and families this month. At NAS Shenzhen, we provide a world-class teaching environment and advanced teaching facilities for children aged 6-18. At the primary school stage, we provide bilingual teaching under the nine-year compulsory education curriculum standard and implement a two – homeroom – teacher (1 international teacher and 1 national teacher), with no more than 26 students in each class. At the primary level, 50% of our subjects are taught in English. Our national principal Ms Fang introduced, "The connection between kindergarten and primary school is not equal to ‘ a sudden education for children’. Although from the perspective of time, the connection between kindergarten and primary school specifically refers to the time between the six months before and after a child enters school. From the perspective of the continuity of growth, in fact, the entire kindergarten period of a child is preparing for the child to enter primary school. Therefore, parents and teachers should integrate the content of the connection between kindergarten and primary school into the daily life and learning of children gradually. And the connection between kindergarten and primary school is not equal to ‘ just learning more knowledge’. In fact, learning interests, learning habits, and learning good quality are particularly important for children's success in school. Therefore, parents should not focus solely on subject learning but should pay more attention to the impact of school activities, making friends, and other factors on children's growth."
