在本次的开放日里，我们针对三个不同的年龄段，开展了特色的STEAM体验课：

当飓风降临时，你的家园能抵挡得住吗？G1-3年级的同学们届时会化身为工程师，在STEAM老师的带领下设计出自己的防飓风房屋，来面对飓风的挑战。

在这次STEAM地震挑战中，学生将分组学习更多关于地震的知识，然后搭建振动台和地震仪。 使用这些工具，学生将成为结构工程师，设计的建筑物可以承受地震的运动。 这是探索地震研究中的科学和工程的绝佳方式。

作为工程师，我们可以用日常材料制作什么？ 你认为你能制造一辆只靠空气驱动的汽车吗？在7-11年级的体验课堂上，学生将会用气球、水瓶盖子、纸皮等环保材料组装一台靠空气驱动的车，来完成一次速度比拼。

James老师来自英国， 他以优异的成绩毕业于英格兰东北部的提赛德大学商业管理和领导力专业。10年深圳工作经验让他成为非常出色的英语、英语科学以及STEAM老师。James老师以学生为中心，擅长通过项目制的方法，来帮助学生学习更多并从中获得乐趣。

In this open day, we have carried out characteristic STEAM experience classes for three different age groups:

When a hurricane strikes, can your home hold out? Students in grades G1-3 will become engineers and design their own hurricane-proof houses under the guidance of STEAM teachers to face the challenge of hurricanes.

In this Earthquake STEAM challenge students will work in teams to learn more about earthquakes and then build a shake table and seismograph. Using these tools, students will be structural engineers as they design buildings that can withstand the movement of earthquakes. This activity is a fantastic way to explore science and engineering in the study of earthquakes.

What can we as engineers make with everyday materials? Do you think you could build a car powered by nothing but air? In the experience class for grades 7-11, students will use balloons, water bottle lids, cardboard and other environmentally friendly materials to assemble an air-driven car to complete a speed competition.

Mr James comes from England. He graduated with honours in Business Management and Leadership from Teesside University in the North East of England. 10 years of working experience in Shenzhen has made him a very good English, English science and STEAM teacher. Mr James is student-centred and is good at helping students learn more and have fun through a project-based approach.
