为了让我们的学生有机会与遍布全球的诺德安达学校的同龄人交流，上一年11月份，深圳诺德双语学校开展了诺德安达笔友活动，而在这个暑假，我们陆续收到了来自全球校区的学生来信。
夏天很快就过去了，NAS深圳校区的成员们正在享受一个应得的假期——许多人正在出国旅行，体验跨文化交流的兴奋。
新颖的语言、食物、风景和熟人将给我们的学生留下永久的记忆。谁知道这些经历会在未来带来什么？

NORD ANGLIA PEN PALS
In order to allow our students to have the opportunity to communicate with their peers from Nord Anglia schools all over the world, NAS Shenzhen launched the Nord Anglia Pen Pals activity in November last year. During this summer vacation, we have successively received letters from students from campuses around the world.
With the summer passing swiftly, the members of the NAS Shenzhen community are enjoying a well-deserved break - many are travelling abroad to experience the excitement of intercultural exchange.
The novel languages, food, sights, and acquaintances are going to leave a lasting memory on our students. Who knows what these experiences might lead to in the future?

We at NAS Shenzhen, being globetrotters ourselves, understand the benefits of global-mindedness and work on incorporating it into the school curriculum. Last year, for international student day, our pupils created and sent letters (by mail) to other Nord Anglia campuses around the globe.

We've recently started to receive replies from students in these schools, with The British School of Charlotte, USA and Colegio Peruano Británico, Peru being among the first ones.Below we present the front sides of some of the letters, leaving the content to the eyes of the recipients.

It took so long for the letters to travel around the globe as they were sent by traditional mail, just like in the old days, before the emergence of emails. No matter the time, the excitement is tremendous, especially when we look at the care and passion the students placed in the creation of the letters.

“At Nord Anglia, learning has no boundaries. Every Nord Anglia school provides an immersive learning environment to our students. Students are not only part of their own school but also study with classmates from all over the world through the platform of the global campus.
All we can say is that our peers abroad were excited to have made a pen pal from China, with some inviting our students to follow up on the conversation by email and even by Wechat (Andrea from Peru).
In the future, we hope that through global campus collaboration, our students can learn from invited experts, participate in challenges and competitions, or collaborate with peers to participate in regional activities, sporting events or global field trips.”
With the next international student day just around the corner, we look forward to more of our students developing what we hope is going to be lifelong pen pals!
