本学期第一个重磅好消息，来自于我们的学术体系。我们很高兴宣布，截至2023年8月31日，深圳诺德双语学校成功成为国际文凭组织小学项目（PYP）和中学项目（MYP）候选学校。

在接下来的学年中，我们的教学团队将在小学和中学项目协调员的指导下，在国际教育组织指定的顾问的支持下，利用通过众多专业发展研讨会获得的知识，来指导我们的学生和家长接受新的项目模式。敬请期待！

新学期的第一天，校园里满载着欢声笑语与兴奋。我们的老师精心布置了教室，通过破冰活动的方式让学生们彼此认识，以创造一个热情和包容的课堂环境。新同学在伙伴的带领下，更好适应教学安排跟课堂纪律。

为了让家长们更具体了解学校学术方面内容，以及大家期待已久的国际文凭小学PYP项目和初中MYP项目的实施情况，我们邀请了家长们亲临现场，参与了解新学期课程安排计划。期待接下来每月的IB课程项目成果展里面，学校能与家长一起，共同见证孩子们的进步。

The first big piece of good news this semester comes from our academic system. We are excited to announce that as of 31st of August 2023, we have been granted a candidate school status for the International Baccalaureate Organization Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP).

Over the course of the following academic year, the school pedagogical body, under the guidance of the PYP and MYP Coordinators, supported by the IBO-appointed consultants, and equipped with the knowledge gained through numerous professional development workshops, is going to guide our students and parents towards embracing the new programme models.

On the first day of the new semester, NASSZ is filled with laughter and excitement. Our teachers carefully prepared the classrooms and organized icebreaker activities to help students get to know each other better and create a warm and inclusive classroom environment. New students settle into their schedules and adjust to the discipline with the help of their peers.

We invited our parents to familiarize themselves with the school's academic content, as well as the implementation of the IBPYP Program and MYP Program, which we are also going to expand during the upcoming parent workshops. We look forward to working with our parents to witness the progress of their children.

The teaching and learning in the Primary Years and Middle Years Programmes is centred around six transdisciplinary themes and global contexts which mark the central point of student inquiries. These themes engage the learning community in rich dialogues and ongoing collaboration to build an understanding of themselves, their wider community and the world.

With new changes in the new semester, NAS Shenzhen has upgraded its curriculum content to help students develop greater potential through inquiry learning.
