In the just-concluded international competition, students from Manchester University achieved the Global Silver Award in the British Biology Olympiad, the Silver Award in the Canadian Chemistry Competition, and an Excellence Award in the Australian Science Competition.
The British Biology Olympiad (BBO) has a history of 21 years and is one of the longest-standing and most influential science competitions. It was established by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) in the United Kingdom in 1995, and nearly ten thousand high school students from around the world participate in the competition each year, vying for various awards.

The British Biology Olympiad is organized by the globally recognized biological academic organization, the Royal Society of Biology. Participants from both the UK and China compete simultaneously and are ranked, with top-performing students directly receiving gold, silver, or bronze medals in the British Biology Olympiad. They also have the opportunity to be invited to participate in top international science events. Outstanding achievements can provide advantages in applying to world-renowned universities for medical, biological, and other science and engineering disciplines.
