Youth encounters great events, and hard work is in the right time. After three years of diligence, the moment has suddenly arrived. The 2021 class has quietly embarked on a new journey in the graduation class. To further strengthen the school-home connection, form a partnership between school and parents, and prepare for the high school entrance exam, our school held a parent meeting for the 2023-2024 school year in the afternoon of October 20th
This parent meeting was conducted in two stages:
The first stage was held in the first-floor conference room of the administrative building with the theme "Unified Thinking and Building Confidence." The attendees included President Deng Dengjiang, the 9th-grade homeroom teachers, and parents of the students. The meeting was presided over by the 9th-grade group leader, Teacher Chen Sigang.
The second stage took place in the classrooms of each class, with homeroom teachers presiding over the meetings.
The parent meeting had two phases.

Teacher Chen reported to the parents about the outstanding results of the 2023 high school entrance exam. He used straightforward data to illustrate the impressive progress made by Huamei students in the previous high school entrance exams. He also presented pictures of this year's Huamei students diligently preparing for the exams, instilling confidence in the parents.
At the same time, he emphasized that the school and families should align their thinking:
At the school level:
Strengthening the teaching staff by introducing teachers with high theoretical knowledge and rich teaching experience to assist students in the high school entrance exam.
Ninth-grade students and teachers should not participate in non-essential activities, focusing on active preparation from top to bottom
At the family level:
Parents are encouraged to maintain two aspects: maintain encouragement and maintain a calm attitude.
Also, pay attention to three aspects: focus on the child's learning progress, their interaction with teachers, and their psychological condition.
Avoid four things: anxiety, blame, complacency, and capriciousness. Strive for a balance between moderate stress and appropriate relaxation.

Next, Principal Deng gave a speech on the following three points:
Clearly define your goals. After entering the ninth grade, both parents and students have already set a clear goal - to participate in the high school entrance examination and achieve good results. This goal is indeed a consensus among everyone.
Build confidence. Students need to have confidence, and parents also need to have confidence. Principal Deng pointed out that our school's confidence stems from:
1) The excellent state of students as they enter the ninth grade.
2) An outstanding teaching staff that has been adjusted and strengthened in various subjects.
3) Given the characteristics of the Shenzhen high school entrance exam, most students should be confident in their performance.
Prepare for the exam scientifically. Starting from the 23rd cohort, Huamei School has developed a mature, teacher-approved, and validated exam preparation method from last year's high school entrance examination. Ninth-grade teachers can use target alignment analysis, subject alignment analysis, and detailed question analysis to clearly understand students' strengths and weaknesses and provide timely assistance and guidance.
Finally, Principal Deng reminded all parents to pay attention to three details:
Focus on physical education；
Emphasize English listening and speaking；
Prioritize mental health.

After the grade-level parent meeting, parents moved to the classrooms for the next stage of the meeting. Each homeroom teacher provided comprehensive interpretations of the high school entrance exam, covering students' academic performance, school rules, and school-home cooperation in-depth.
After the parent meeting, subject teachers engaged in detailed communication with individual parents, addressing their specific concerns according to the unique characteristics of different subjects and children.
