近日，我们收到了一个非常让人惊喜的消息：VCA学子Z同学被俄亥俄州立大学的航天工程录取了。让我们惊喜的不但是Z同学被录取的专业是一个作为中国留学生几乎不可能进入的专业，更因为他在申请专业的领域跨度如此之大，却仍然得到了如此让人满意的结果！

Recently, we received a very pleasant surprise: VCA student Z was admitted to the Aerospace Engineering program at Ohio State University. What surprised us was not only that Z was accepted into a program that is almost impossible for Chinese students to enter, but also that he got such a satisfying result despite the fact that he had applied for such a wide range of majors!

Z同学原本的目标是生物专业。他对生物的热爱源于对生命奥秘的好奇和对人类健康的关注。但随着对自我认知的深入，他逐渐意识到自己的兴趣不仅仅局限于生物。在申请截止前的一周，他做出了一个惊人的决定：增加航空工程专业的申请。

Z originally aimed to major in Biology. His love for biology stems from his curiosity about the mysteries of life and his concern for human health, but as he became more self-aware, he came to realize that his interests were not limited to biology. A week before the application deadline, he made an amazing decision: to add the Aerospace Engineering program to his application.

这个转变并非一时冲动。Z同学告诉我们：“我从小就对飞行器很感兴趣，但当时我并没有意识到这与工程有关。”到了高中，随着对各个学科的了解加深，他意识到航空工程与自己的兴趣相契合。

This transition was not an impulse. Z tells us, "I've been interested in flying machines since I was a kid, but at the time I didn't realize it had anything to do with engineering." By high school, as he learned more about various subjects, he realized that aerospace engineering fit with his interests.

为了这个新的目标，Z同学付出了巨大的努力。他深入研究航空工程的相关知识，试图弥补自己在该领域的不足。除了基本的学术成绩，他还特意参加了与航空工程相关的活动和项目，以增加自己的经验。

Z put in a tremendous amount of effort towards this new goal. He delved deeper into his knowledge of aeronautical engineering in an attempt to fill his gaps in the field. In addition to his basic academic achievements, he made it a point to participate in activities and programs related to aeronautical engineering to increase his experience.

然而，挑战也随之而来。由于是临时更改专业，Z同学在文书撰写上遇到了很大的困难。他表示：“对于航空工程，我确实没有太多的实际经验，所以在描述自己的动机和与该专业的相关性时，我感到有些力不从心。”

However, challenges came with it. Due to the temporary change of major, Z had great difficulty with the paperwork. He stated, "I really didn't have a lot of real-world experience with aerospace engineering, so I felt a little overwhelmed when describing my motivation and relevance to the major."

尽管面临困难，Z同学从未放弃过自己的梦想。他说：“我深知选择这个专业将会是一条艰难的道路，但我愿意接受挑战。”未来，Z同学希望成为一名飞行员，通过实际的工作体验来加深自己对航空工程的了解。

Despite the difficulties he faced, Z never gave up on his dream. He said, "I know that choosing this major will be a difficult path, but I'm up for the challenge." In the future, Z hopes to become a pilot and deepen his understanding of aerospace engineering through real-world work experience.

对于即将踏入大学校门的Z同学，我们问他有什么建议给即将入学的新生。他回答：“首先，要珍惜这个机会。大学是人生的一个重要阶段，它会带来无数的机遇和挑战。其次，要敢于尝试新事物。大学是一个多元化的环境，不要害怕走出自己的舒适区。”

We asked him what advice he would give to incoming freshmen. He replied, "First of all, cherish this opportunity. College is an important stage in life, and it brings countless opportunities and challenges. Secondly, dare to try new things. College is a diverse environment, so don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone."

在留学申请的漫漫长路上，威睿达思的升学规划师JayJay Xue与Z同学携手同行，最终帮助他获得了俄亥俄州立大学航空工程专业的录取通知。在这个过程中，JayJay分享了他们如何克服重重困难，以及Z同学如何展现出令人印象深刻的潜力和实力。

On the long road of study abroad application, JayJay Xue, a college councillor at Veritas, worked hand in hand with Z and eventually helped him gain admission to the Aerospace Engineering program at The Ohio State University. In the process, JayJay shares how they overcame many obstacles and how Z showed impressive potential and strength.

JayJay表示，Z同学在申请初期和中期一直专注于生物专业方向。然而，在递交申请前的关键时刻，家长和孩子突然改变了想法，决定尝试申请航空工程中的飞行分支专业。面对这一突如其来的转变，JayJay与团队迅速行动，紧急调整了文书内容和补充了相关活动经验。

JayJay said that Z had been focusing on the biology major direction in the early and middle stages of his application. However, at the critical moment before submitting the application, the parents and Z suddenly changed their minds and decided to try to apply for the flight branch of aeronautical engineering. In the face of this sudden change, JayJay and his team acted quickly, urgently adjusting the content of the paperwork and supplementing it with relevant activities and experiences.

“我们及时调整了文书内容，突出了Z同学在航空领域的梦想和亲戚在相关领域的工作经历。这些补充信息对于展现他对这个领域的热情和决心起到了重要作用。”JayJay解释道。

"We adjusted our paperwork in time to highlight Z's dreams in the field of aviation and the work experience of his relatives. This additional information was instrumental in showing his passion and commitment to the field." JayJay explains.

在申请过程中，JayJay认为Z同学展现出的实力和努力是学校录取他的关键因素之一。“尽管面临专业方向的转变，Z同学仍然展现出了对航空工程的浓厚兴趣和一定的相关经验。此外，他在学科成绩和标准化考试中的表现也相当出色。”

During the application process, JayJay cited Z's demonstrated strength and hard work as one of the key factors in the school's acceptance of him. "Despite facing a change in major direction, Z still demonstrated a strong interest in aerospace engineering and some relevant experience. In addition, he performed quite well in his subject grades and standardized tests."

谈及威睿达思为孩子们规划升学道路的流程，JayJay表示：“我们首先会根据学生的学科偏好和特长进行定位，并选择适合的专业方向。随后，我们会根据专业方向匹配美国本土的相关竞赛和科研项目，帮助学生提升背景。此外，我们还会为学生安排与专业相关的实习机会，丰富他们的经历。在标化成绩方面，我们会制定严格的提分方案，并督促学生按时完成。”

Talking about the process of counseling for the children's path to higher education, JayJay said, "We will first locate the students according to their academic preferences and strengths, and choose the appropriate major direction. We then match the student's major with relevant competitions and research programs in the U.S. to help enhance the student's background. In addition, we will arrange internships related to the student's major to enrich their experience. In terms of standardized scores, we will formulate a strict program to improve scores and urge students to complete it on time."

最后，JayJay强调：“整个申请过程中，我们全程紧密陪伴学生，确保他们顺利走完这条道路。能够陪伴Zack同学获得如此出色的录取结果，我们感到非常骄傲。”

In closing, JayJay emphasized, "We stayed closely with our students throughout the entire application process to make sure they were well on their way. We are very proud to have been able to accompany Zack to such an outstanding admissions outcome."

Z同学的故事是一个关于勇气、探索和梦想的故事。他用行动告诉我们：只要心怀梦想并为之努力，就没有什么是实现不了的。祝愿Z同学在未来的学习和职业生涯中取得更大的成功！

Z's story is a tale of courage, exploration and dreams. He has shown us through his actions that there is nothing that cannot be realized if you have a dream in your heart and work hard for it. We wish Z much success in his future studies and career!
