To recognize excellence, set examples, and further inspire the enthusiasm of teachers and education professionals, aiming to vigorously promote the high-quality development of education at MIS, on January 8, 2024, the Lighthouse International Education Group issued the first commendation order of the new year. Principal Zhang Yue of Merchiston Academy and teachers such as Yi Nanfan and Peng Wanting from the Mathematics Department, Wu Pingping from the Chinese Department, Yan Yaqian from the Economics Department, and Zhang Na from the Science Department were awarded the "Principal Achievement Award" and the "Academic Excellence Achievement Award" respectively, accompanied by a commendation.

The commendation highlights that looking back at the 2022-2023 academic year, under the leadership of Principal Zhang Yue, Merchiston Academy had four outstanding graduates who received a total of six unconditional offers from G5 universities in the United Kingdom. Their excellent academic achievements have elevated Merchiston Academy as a shining star in vocational education internationalization in the Greater Bay Area, setting an example for Lighthouse International Education Group in establishing academically excellent and warm-hearted international education for the future.
