春光作序,万物和鸣,成长不期而遇。为进一步加强家校之间的密切联系,增进校家联动共育合力,赋能学生成长,5月11日上午,华美外国语学校召开了2024年春季家长会暨课堂展示活动



满怀期待|以爱相约


带着一份期许,怀揣着一份信任,家长们如约而至,准时到达班级门口签到。随后,观看美术作品展,感受智慧美与艺术美的结合。




走进课堂|聆听成长

本次家长会的第一阶段,家长走进课堂,与孩子们一起体验沉浸式课堂。语文课上,老师声情并茂的讲解让家长们感受到了语文的魅力;数学课上,老师严谨的教学风格让家长们对孩子们的逻辑思维培养有了更深刻的认识;英语课上,老师生动有趣的授课方式使孩子们领略到了英语的魅力与实用性。



多姿多彩的课堂充满活力,在思维碰撞和创意闪现的课堂中,家长看到了孩子们认真倾听的眼神,听到了孩子们自信大方的发言,更感受到了老师对孩子们亲切的引导、有效的评价以及教育学生的用心用情。不仅让家长们见证了学校先进的教育理念和方法,看到了孩子们的学习成果,也让家校之间的联系更加紧密。


当下课铃声响起后,同学们迅速集合整队,整齐划一动作,高亢嘹亮的口号声,充分展示了华美学子朝气蓬勃、乐观自信、积极向上的精神风貌。观摩大课间的家长们无不被这壮观的场面所震撼,纷纷拿出手机留下精彩的瞬间。




同心聚力|共助成长

本次家长会的第二阶段,班主任、任课老师与家长们进行了深入交流。各班班主任立足班级实际情况,从学生的在校学习、生活、纪律等方面做了详尽的分析汇报,向家长们展示了学生们的学习成果和成长历程,使家长们能进一步了解孩子,也对后半学期学生的成长提出了建议。



各学科的科任老师针对学科特点,向家长们反馈了孩子开学至今的学习情况,以展示学生学习成果、分享学习小妙招等方式与家长们进行交流,从学习习惯、学习方法等方面提出实用且有效的建议。



“家”点精彩|“育”见未来

为了帮助大家更好地应对小升初的挑战,胡少明副校长与香港部陈柏勋校长给六年级家长带来了一场精彩的讲座。


胡少明副校长主要讲解小升初阶段的特点、升学政策、学科准备与规划以及心理调适与辅导等方面的内容,为大家提供全面而深入的升学指导。


香港部陈柏勋校长详细介绍了香港部的特色与优势,展示我校香港部在教育教学、课程设置、师资力量等方面的亮点,为家长和学生升学提供更多选择。

同时,我校课程教学总监周湘给一、二年级家长介绍PBL华美国际化课程建设,让家长更加了解项目式学习的特点和优势。



以爱之名|共育美好

家长会结束后,许多家长还和班主任、老师进行一对一交流,就孩子在学习和生活上存在的现实问题,积极探讨解决之道。家长纷纷表示,与老师们面对面的交流,掌握了更多教育孩子的方法与技巧,更清楚地了解到孩子现阶段的情况,也更加明白了家校合力的重要性。



行而不辍,未来可期,暖心共育,筑梦未来。本次家长会的召开,为学校教育与家庭教育架起了沟通的桥梁,拉近了学校、老师与家长的距离,得到了家长们的充分肯定与支持。最美的教育离不开家校的共同努力与合作,在我们的双向奔赴同心同行中,孩子们会逐渐成长,奔赴属于他们的星辰大海。

With the spring as the prelude, all things harmonize, growth comes unexpectedly. To further strengthen the close connection between home and school, enhance the synergy between school and parents, empower student growth, on the morning of May 11th, Huamei Foreign Language School held the 2024 Spring Parent Meeting and Classroom Exhibition Activity.


With Great Anticipation, 

We Gather in Love


With great anticipation, we gather in love. Carrying expectations and trust, parents arrived as scheduled and signed in at the entrance of the class. Then, they viewed the art exhibition, experiencing the combination of intellectual and artistic beauty.




Entering the Classroom

and Listening to Growth

 In the first phase of this parent-teacher meeting, parents entered the classroom to experience an immersive lesson with their children. During the Chinese class, the teacher's expressive explanation allowed parents to feel the charm of the subject; in the math class, the teacher's rigorous teaching style gave parents a deeper understanding of the development of their children's logical thinking; and in the English class, the teacher's lively and interesting teaching methods showcased the allure and practicality of English to the children.



The vibrant and dynamic classrooms were full of energy. In the sessions where ideas collided and creativity sparkled, parents saw the attentive gazes of the children, heard their confident and eloquent speeches, and felt the teachers' friendly guidance, effective evaluations, and heartfelt dedication to educating the students. This not only allowed parents to witness the school's advanced educational philosophies and methods and see the learning achievements of their children but also strengthened the bond between the school and the families.


When the recess bell rang, the students quickly assembled in orderly lines. Their synchronized movements and loud, clear slogans fully demonstrated the vitality, optimism, and positive spirit of the students of Huamei School. The parents observing the recess activities were all amazed by the spectacular scene and eagerly took out their phones to capture the wonderful moments.




United in Effort, 

Growing Together

In the second phase of this parent-teacher meeting, the class teachers and subject teachers had in-depth discussions with the parents. Each class teacher, based on the actual situation of their class, provided a detailed analysis and report on the students' school life, discipline, and learning progress. They showcased the students' achievements and growth journey, helping parents to further understand their children and offering suggestions for the students' development in the second half of the semester.



Subject teachers, focusing on the characteristics of their subjects, provided feedback on the students' performance since the beginning of the semester. They engaged with parents by displaying students' achievements and sharing learning tips, offering practical and effective advice on study habits and methods.



"Home" Highlights, 

"Education" for the Future

To help everyone better cope with the challenges of transitioning from primary to middle school, Vice Principal Hu Shaoming and Principal Chen Baixun of the Hong Kong Department delivered an excellent lecture for the parents of sixth-grade students.


Vice Principal Hu Shaoming mainly explained the characteristics of the transition stage, admission policies, subject preparation and planning, and psychological adjustment and guidance, providing comprehensive and in-depth guidance for further education.


Principal Chen Baixun of the Hong Kong Department gave a detailed introduction to the department's features and advantages, highlighting the strengths of our school's Hong Kong Department in teaching, curriculum design, and faculty, offering more choices for parents and students in their educational journey.

Meanwhile, our Curriculum Teaching Director Zhou Xiang introduced the PBL Huamei International Curriculum to the parents of first and second graders, helping them to understand the characteristics and advantages of project-based learning.



Nurturing with Love, 

Creating a Beautiful Future

After the parent-teacher meeting, many parents had one-on-one conversations with the class teachers and subject teachers, actively discussing solutions to the real issues their children faced in learning and life. Parents expressed that face-to-face communication with the teachers equipped them with more methods and techniques for educating their children, gave them a clearer understanding of their children's current situation, and reinforced the importance of school-family cooperation.



Continuing the Journey, Embracing the Future, Nurturing with Warmth, Building Dreams Together. This parent-teacher meeting established a communication bridge between school education and family education, bringing the school, teachers, and parents closer, and received full recognition and support from the parents. The most beautiful education cannot be achieved without the joint efforts and cooperation of both the school and families. Through our mutual journey together, the children will gradually grow and reach for their stars and sea of dreams.
