We are pleased to announce that BMH Pre School has received official accreditation from the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). This means that BMH Pre School (Bromsgrove School Mission Hills) has officially become an IB Candidate School.
Since its establishment in 2015, BMH has been dedicated to developing exceptional students with a global perspective, an open-minded approach to culture, and proficiency in both Chinese and English. The school has made significant strides in the creation of a bilingual curriculum, the development of a highly skilled teaching team, the enhancement of school management, and other key areas. These achievements have been widely recognised by students and parents alike. The accreditation of IB Candidate School is a significant endorsement of BMH's international education programme and a clear indication that we are on the right track in our mission to cultivate global citizens with a Chinese perspective.
WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL
BACCALAUREATE (IB)?
The IBO, International Baccalaureate Organization, offers a kindergarten to pre-university (K-12) programme for students around the world. The International Baccalaureate offers a continuum of international education for children and adolescents aged 3-19 years old in the areas of intellect, emotion, personal development, and social skills, whose goal is to inspire lifelong learners to be passionate and empathetic.
IB schools must go through a very strict audit by the IBO and fully meet the IBO's standards in terms of hardware, teachers, teaching, and philosophy before they can become an "IB World School".
Over the course of our nine-year history, we have consistently embraced the philosophy of "child-centredness." This has enabled us to establish an immersive bilingual teaching environment, respect and support multiculturalism, encourage critical thinking in children, and cultivate globalised talents in alignment with the IB programme's core concepts and goals.
Students will also benefit fully from the IB programme, which has no geographical limitations and is widely recognised by schools around the world. This will have a long-lasting impact on their future learning careers, maintaining a consistent high quality of curriculum learning.
In the current fast-paced information age, schools and teachers must continuously update their knowledge base and align with the development of core competencies. Joining an IB World School allows us to refine and enhance our practices, expanding our ability to provide a quality international education to a larger number of students.
Candidacy for accreditation by the IB-PYP has encouraged everyone at our school to continue to live up to the educational philosophy of the IB Programme and to strive to develop ourselves into lifelong learners, with an international outlook in the long and fortunate journey ahead.
