Following the Mid-Autumn Festival, BMH was delighted to welcome our esteemed UK board members, Mr Michael Punt, Headmaster, and Mrs Rachel Scannell, Assistant Head, to our school in Shenzhen.
The annual board meetings have been held as scheduled since 2016, demonstrating the resilience and strength of the partnership. This year, they have had a long meeting as before discussing the performance of the School as well as plans for the future.
UK Board members are committed to supporting students at BMH. Despite their busy schedules, they ensure that they visit all classrooms at the Pre and Prep schools, where they meet with students.
The headmasters conduct classroom visits at all levels and subjects to gain insight into the learning environment and curriculum delivery, as well as to gain a first-hand understanding of the teaching and learning context.
The Student Ambassadors programme was a great success. So the headmasters engaged in detailed discussions with several student ambassadors who had previously studied at BSUK. The headmasters were interested in their experiences and feelings about the UK and also answered their questions about the future life in BSUK.
In addition to their role in student care, the board members also wished to extend warm greetings and appreciation to all members of the BMH community. With autumn breeze and moonlight, all the faculty, parents and board members of BMH gathered in a warm, happy and relaxed autumn evening party.
At the beginning of the evening, Pre school Parent Representative, Ms Liu Zhiwei, Prep school Parent Representative, Mr Feng Jun, together with Dr Catherine Chu, Chairman of the Board, and Mr Michael Punt, Headmaster of BMH, delivered a heartfelt speech sharing their feelings and thoughts on their role within the BMH community. Irrespective of their respective roles, they are all committed to providing mutual support and encouragement in order to enhance the BMH.
Subsequently, the four representatives of the home and school communities held the torch aloft and ignited the bonfire together. Throughout the course of the evening, the flames burned brightly and the fireworks were distributed to all attendees. The light, which symbolised hope and unity, illuminated the faces of all present, conveying the warmth and strength of the Bromsgrove family.
This splendid evening was made possible by the autumn breeze and the clarity of the moonlight, with the highly skilled BMH staff and parents working together to deliver a series of exceptional programmes. The evening's entertainment included a selection of vocal performances, accompanied by the melodious sounds of the flute, and popular songs ect. that brought joy and light to the entire place. The entire programme contributed to the success of the event, which was a memorable and enjoyable occasion for all involved.
We believe that love and trust, understanding and communication will make the Bromsgrove family always firm and cohesive, and will continue to move forward in a better direction and strive to become a pre-eminent school with Chinese roots and global connections.
