On Wednesday, we warmly welcomed both our existing and new BMH Prep families to campus for our termly Back to School Night. It was a wonderful opportunity for parents to engage with the vibrant life in BMH Prep School and to gain a deeper understanding of our educational ethos.
The evening featured a series of informative subject sessions, each designed to highlight the innovative and enriching curriculum we offer.
In the English and Library Room, our dedicated teachers discussed strategies for fostering a love of reading and writing, showcasing our literacy initiatives and the various resources available to support pupils’ development.
In the Inquiry and Computing Room, parents explored how we integrate technology into our learning framework, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our educators provided insights into exciting projects that encourage collaboration and creativity.
The Chinese and Morality Room saw engaging discussions on cultural appreciation, Chinese texts and ethical reasoning, vital components of our holistic approach to education. Parents learnt about the importance of character education and how it influences our pupils’ social development.
In the Maths and Science Room, parents were treated to a presentation that showcased the dynamic nature of these subjects. Our teachers highlighted how we promote analytical thinking and problem-solving through hands-on activities and real-world applications.
Additionally, parents participated in a recap session on ManageBac, our school’s platform for communication and academic matters. This session equipped families with essential skills to navigate the system, ensuring they can stay connected and informed about their child’s progress.
Throughout the evening, attendees had the chance to visit different CCA vendors and explore the range of holistic subjects we have on offer, from arts and crafts to sports and mindfulness activities. This interaction provided a glimpse into the diverse opportunities available for our pupils, reinforcing our commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals.
It was a delight to see so many parents on campus, actively engaging with our community and learning more about what we offer. We encourage all families to check the resources shared by our teachers, as they are valuable tools for supporting your child’s education at home.
Lastly, we are excited to announce that our Term 2 Back to School Night will take place on Wednesday 26th February 2025. We look forward to welcoming you back for another informative and enjoyable evening.
