On the occasion of the National Day holiday, BMH students and parents were privileged to attend a tournament that is eagerly awaited by all golf fans: the 'Saudi Aramco Team Series' at Mission Hills Golf Course in Shenzhen, where the world's elite golfers are gathered.
The fourth stop of the Saudi Aramco Team Series, a event on the Ladies European Tour (LET), was held at Mission Hills Shenzhen. This marks the first time that the LET has returned to mainland China after seven years. A number of Chinese professional women's golfers were in attendance, including world number four Yin Ruoning, Paris Olympic bronze medallist Lin Xiyu, LPGA player He Muni and numerous other well-known competitors.
The opportunity to learn from some of the top golfers in the world at Mission Hills, one of the most prestigious golfing clubs in the world, has attracted many BMH students to participate in this unparalleled learning experience.
At the event held on the afternoon of 4 October, Lin Xiyu, the Olympic bronze medalist in golf, created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere when she appeared before the assembled children. This accomplished athlete, who has achieved numerous successes in international competitions, responded to the children's queries on golf practice with patience and a friendly demeanor, sharing her personal experiences of growth and training techniques. Furthermore, she expressed her expectations for the younger golfers, including the BMH students, and encouraged them to develop a passion for the sport and to train rigorously.
Subsequently, Xu Rui, a student and member of the school's golf team, participated in the Junior Challenge, competing with other juniors in the same field and engaging in friendly competition. He was awarded the Group Runner-up title with his teammates in recognition of his exemplary performance.
At the event, students were given the opportunity to meet and interact with their favourite star players. It is anticipated that this will be a highly memorable experience for the children.
The BMH is renowned for its golf culture, with a significant number of students expressing keen interest in this elegant and fascinating sport. In addition to their academic studies, students enrolled in the BMH golf programme actively participate in varsity training. Furthermore, students have the chance to further develop their skills and benefit from the opportunity to practise their golf swing at Mission Hills Golf Course after school.
We believe that the impact of golf extends well beyond the golf course. With each swing and each game, the children are learning the value of perseverance, courage and hard work. They will inspire each and every one of our students to move forward on the road to the future and pursue their own bright and brilliant future with courage.
