SCCSC Students Embrace Global Dialogue SCCSC学生参与全球对话

On November 20, six of our talented students joined 80 peers from 15 schools across six countries—Australia, China, India, Kenya, and the USA—in a dynamic Round Square Zoom Postcard hosted by Newcastle Grammar School in Australia. The topic? "Youth in the Age of New Technology: Combatting Concerns and Embracing Connections."


11月20日,我校六名优秀学生与来自六个国家(澳大利亚、中国、印度、肯尼亚和美国)15所学校的80名同龄人,参加了一场由澳大利亚纽卡斯尔文法学校主办的充满活力的Round Square Zoom Postcard(圆方线上交流活动)。主题是 “新技术时代的青年:应对挑战   拥抱连接”。





A Zoom Postcard is a fantastic Round Square initiative that amplifies student voices on global issues. In these 60-90 minute events, students exchange ideas with peers worldwide, enriching their global perspective and honing their English communication skills.


Zoom Postcard是一个极好的圆方活动,旨在放大学生看待全球问题的声音。在这些60到90分钟的活动中,学生们与全球同龄人交流想法,丰富他们的全球视野并磨练他们的英语沟通技巧。



During the session, our students engaged in an icebreaker quiz on global social media usage and participated in Baraza discussion groups. They explored topics like the impact of social media on mental and physical health, being authentic online, potential social media addiction, privacy controls, and ethical AI use. After rich discussions, each group shared a summary of their insights with everyone.


在本次活动中,我校学生参与了关于全球社交媒体使用情况的破冰问答,并参加了Baraza讨论小组。他们探讨了诸如社交媒体对心理和身体健康的影响、在网上保持真实自我、潜在的社交媒体成瘾、隐私控制,以及AI使用的伦理限制等话题。在深入的讨论之后,每个小组分享了他们的见解总结。




Our SCCSC students shone brightly, contributing thoughtful perspectives while embracing diverse viewpoints from around the globe. We’re thrilled about their active participation and look forward to joining more of these enlightening Postcards. We even have our sights set on hosting one in the future!
