The Shenzhen (Nanshan) Concord College of Sino-Canada Model United Nations (MUN) club sent a delegation to the 15th annual Model United Nations (MUNOX) conference hosted by Manila Xiamen International School. MUN plays a pivotal role in fostering globally aware students by immersing them in the complexities of international relations and diplomacy. By participating in MUNOX, students took on the roles of diplomats from different countries, engaging in debates and discussions on pressing global issues like climate change, human rights, conflict resolution, and economic development.

深圳（南山）中加学校模拟联合国社团（MUN）派出代表团，参加了由马尼拉厦门国际学校举办的第十五届年度模拟联合国（MUNOX）会议。模拟联合国通过让学生沉浸在国际关系和外交的复杂性，在培养具有全球意识的学生方面发挥着关键作用。通过参加MUNOX，学生们扮演来自不同国家的外交官，参与关于气候变化、人权、冲突解决和经济发展等紧迫全球问题的辩论和讨论。

This experience exposed students to a wide range of perspectives and challenged them to think critically about the interconnectedness of the world. It encouraged a deeper understanding of how nations navigate complex issues and the importance of cooperation in addressing global challenges.

这种经历让他们接触到各种不同的观点，并挑战他们审判性地思考世界的相互关联性。它鼓励学生更深入地理解各国如何应对复杂问题，以及合作在应对全球挑战中的重要性。

Through MUNOX, students not only gained a comprehensive understanding of international politics but also developed a sense of empathy and cultural awareness. As they represented countries with diverse political systems, economies, and histories, they were required to research and appreciate the unique circumstances of each nation. This process fostered respect for cultural diversity and highlighted the importance of diplomacy, negotiation, and compromise in achieving global solutions. In turn, students developed a broader worldview, recognizing that many issues transcended national borders and required collective action for resolution.

通过MUNOX，学生不仅对国际政治有了全面的了解，还培养了同理心和文化意识。在代表那些拥有不同政治体系、经济和历史的国家时，他们需要研究并理解每个国家的独特情况。这个过程培养了对文化多样性的尊重，并突显了在实现全球解决方案时外交、谈判和妥协的重要性。反过来，学生们发展出更广阔的世界观，认识到许多问题超越国家边界，需要集体行动来解决。

The skills acquired in MUNOX—critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, and leadership—are integral to becoming responsible global citizens. Students leave MUNOX with a greater appreciation for international cooperation and the complexities of the modern world. By engaging in simulations that mirror the real-world challenges faced by global leaders, MUNOX encouraged students to become proactive participants in global affairs, inspiring them to advocate for positive change and approach international problems with both a sense of responsibility and open mindedness.
