To steadily advance the teaching, and management across the campuses, and to embark on a new journey of high-quality development, while recognizing individuals and teams that have made outstanding contributions to the Lighthouse Group’s high-quality development in 2024, the Lighthouse International Education Group held 2024-2025 Staff Developmental Meeting for the Light House Group, on the morning of December 14.
At the meeting, Mr. Mark Bridgeman, Acting Head of Shenzhen MIS, Mr. Shi Guopeng, Head of Dongguan Xingzhi School & Dean of Ivy Academy, and Mr. Gao Xu, Dean of MIS Shenzhen Royal Mile Academy went on the stage one by one, to share their insights on topics such as teaching and management, school’s development status, and academic achievements.

The Group's Principal and Executive Principal of Qianhai Campus, Claudia Liu, outlined the key tasks for the new semester.
The four leaders delivered practical reflections on how to propel the Lighthouse Education Group toward becoming the most academically excellent and warmest international school in the Greater Bay Area.
As of now, our soon-to-graduate students have been performing exceptionally well in the 2025 application season. Right now, we have received five interview invitations from Oxford and Cambridge University, demonstrating the outstanding teaching teams of Lighthouse Group and the extraordinary academic strength of our students.
"Teaching quality is the lifeline of Lighthouse Group and the fundamental guarantee for the steady and sustainable high-quality development of the Group." At the meeting, Mr. Lyu, Chairman of the Board of Lighthouse Group and Founder of Shenzhen MIS, emotionally reviewed the passionate and determined journey of Lighthouse Group and encouraged all members of the Lighthouse family to pour their hearts into their work, nurturing students with love, and further advancing the steady improvement of the shools’ teaching quality.
Mr. Lyu pointed out that in order to build an academically excellent and the warmest international school, it is essential to adhere to the educational philosophy of following the right path, understanding great principles, practicing great love, and cultivating great virtues. The group must remain focused on its goals and persist in its efforts. Under the guidance of scientific principles, Lighthouse Group will undoubtedly be a beacon, leading students in their youthful journey, a global lighthouse facing the future that shines upon the world.
Mr. Lyu emphasized that all members of the Lighthouse family must uphold the student-centered and striving-for-excellence educational philosophy. They should enter the classroom, connect closely with students, and engage in practical life experiences, embodying the Lighthouse family culture of "lighting the beacon of life with love" through their actions. The Group should further strive to become a school that adopts an international curriculum and sends students to global universities, and build a high-quality, internationalized education ecosystem.
The meeting also held a grand ceremony to recognize outstanding model teachers, exceptional competition mentors, loyal teachers, and excellent admissions teams.
As a representative of the outstanding teachers, Caitlyn Zhao, the Chinese Director of Royal Mile Academy, expressed in her speech that under the strategic guidance of Lighthouse Group, Royal Mile Academy has achieved breakthrough results in university admissions. Out of the 9 students in the 13th grade, 4 have already received interview invitations from Oxford and Cambridge universities.
In addition, we have also received offers from a number of top international universities, such as Imperial College London, University College London, and the University of Edinburgh. Moving forward, all staff, and all students at Royal Mile Academy will continue to pursue excellence and work towards creating an even brighter future.

MIS felt like, and sounded like home when I joined in here.” said Lauren, a junior class teacher at MIS Qianhai Campus. Lauren added that the campuses of Lighthouse Group are filled with a warm, familial atmosphere. Teachers and students have cultivated a campus environment of mutual respect, where everyone shares a strong sense of alignment with the values of Lighthouse and is passionate about learning and teaching. "In the future, we will undoubtedly achieve even greater accomplishments!"
