Whenever the New Year is approaching, members of the DesignVMA Club will send out creative New Year blessings that are exclusive to VMAers. As a DesignVMA Club that has won the honor of "School-level Club" for four consecutive years, we are very grateful for the opportunities provided by the school for the students. The active participation of the students has also made the VMA culture more colorful. In 2025, we took the uniquely charming woodblock print as a medium and created two works, which were either lively and cute or had a strong sense of form, hoping to present the characteristics of VMA that emphasizes tradition and innovation. Both of the two students were trying printmaking for the first time and gained a lot through the whole process.

The woodblock print of the Year of the Snake uses red as the main color tone. Through ingenious composition and design, the woodcut print of the Year of the Snake combines the image of the snake with the elements of VMA, creating an artistic effect that is both traditional and modern. In Eason's work, the image of the snake may be endowed with more dynamism and vitality. Through its winding shape and powerful lines, the agility and mystery of the snake are demonstrated. In Olina's work, the snake is combined with the elements of fireworks, creating a strong festive atmosphere. The use of this color not only conforms to the aesthetic habits of traditional Chinese festivals but also symbolizes a prosperous and vibrant new year.
