Mr. Wang holds a PhD from Boston College and has extensive admissions experience as theAssociate Director of Admissions and Director of International Admissions at Amherst College in the U.S. from 2015-2024. Amherst College is ranked 2nd in U.S. News' Liberal Arts Education .
Amherst College enjoys more than 200-year of history. As the first Chinese Director of Admissions in Amherst College, Mr. Wan has visited hundreds of high schools, educational charities and government agencies in more than 40 countries on five continents, representing the college. In addition to being responsible for the College's global admissions and recruiting services, he is also responsible for the recruitment of local students in several U.S. states.
As one of the most influential figures in the U.S. higher education admissions industry, especially in the field of international admissions. Mr. Wan has published several articles on international students studying in the U.S. and transnational mobility in the mainstream media of the U.S. higher education industry, such as Inside Higher Ed, University World News, etc. He has also been interviewed by many U.S. and world mainstream medias, such as The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Nature, CGTN America, and The Straits Times, among others.
Mr. Wan translated the best-selling book Admission Matters into Chinese, which has topped the book selling website Dangdang's bestseller list for five consecutive years in the category of study abroad books, and his own book Congratulations on Your Offer will be published inChina at the beginning of 2025.
