I am Gao Yuxi, and I stand here to share with you a belief that has shaped human civilization for centuries: We are all born equal. This truth—simple yet profoun, is the cornerstone of justice and progress.
From the moment we are born, regardless of our skin color, social status, or appearance, we all share the same rights. The United Nations Declaration of Human Rights reminds us that equality is not a privilege but an inherent right. It means that every voice deserves to be heard, every dream is worth pursuing, and every individual should be treated with dignity.
However, reality often falls short. We witness discrimination in classrooms when some students are labeled as “less capable” based on test scores. Such actions not only hurt others but also destorys equality.
As the younger generation, we can make a difference. By embracing our differences, we can build a community where equality is not just a concept—but a real experience. Let us remember: our strength lies in our unity, and our unity, and our unity thrives on equality.

I’m Lavender from Class 4A. Today, under the national flag, we are about to welcome the traditional Dragon Boat Festival.
Over 2,000 years ago, the Chinese poet Qu Yuan gave his life for his country, staying true to his ideals. People rowed boats to search for his body and threw rice dumplings into the river to feed the fish. Since then, the customs of dragon boat racing and eating zongzi have been passed down through generations. The Dragon Boat Festival is not just a holiday—it carries patriotic feelings and deep cultural memories.
In today’s world of blended cultures, traditional festivals are our “cultural ID cards.” They remind us to remember history and carry on the spirit of our ancestors.
As young people in the new era, we should learn the stories behind these festivals, share their meaning with our families and friends, and protect these cultural treasures through our actions.
Let us face challenges with unity and cooperation, and make traditional culture shine brightly in our hands!
