SAIS 20th Anniversary Celebrations｜深美20周年荣耀庆典：深耕廿载、育见未来、共启新章！

Two Decades of Dedication

The celebration, themed "20 Years of Cultivating Education, pioneering a New Chapter," commenced at 3:00 PM. SAIS leaders opened the event with a commemorative video and speeches, tracing SAIS’s journey since its founding in 2005. From initially serving the educational needs of expatriate families to becoming a benchmark for international education in Shenzhen, SAIS has consistently upheld its mission to "nurture global citizens and lifelong learners," providing high-quality IB international curricula and a multicultural environment for students from over 40 countries and regions.

庆典以“廿载深耕教育，共启未来新章”为主题，于下午3时正式拉开帷幕。活动伊始，校方领导通过短片与致辞回顾了学校自2005年建校以来的发展历程。从最初服务外籍人员子女教育需求，到如今成为深圳国际化教育的标杆，深美始终秉持“培养全球公民，成就终身学习者”的使命，为来自40余个国家和地区的学子提供优质的IB国际课程与多元文化融合的成长环境。

SAIS Vision

The principal announced the school’s strategic plan for the next 10 years, emphasizing three pillars: "Technology-Enhanced Education," "Cross-Cultural Leadership Development," and "Sustainable Education." The campus has been expanded to 1,000 square meters, with the opening of an Arts pathway and a Sports pathway, upgraded libraries and laboratories, and added students accommodation services; in the future, a new K12 bilingual school, SAIS university, and global alumni network platform will be opened.

深美愿景：校长在主题演讲中宣布了学校未来十年的战略规划，强调“科技赋能教育”“跨文化领导力培养”与“可持续发展教育”三大方向，并已扩大一千平方米校区——开设深美艺术学院、体育学院，升级图书馆和实验室，新增学生宿舍服务；未来将新开深美K12双语学校、深美大学，以及全球校友网络平台。

Cultural Performances

Students presented a blend of Eastern and Western arts, including traditional Chinese music, modern dance, and multilingual singing, demonstrating the school’s cultural inclusivity and artistic achievements.

文艺汇演：中外学生联袂呈现中西合璧的表演，涵盖传统民乐、现代舞蹈、多语种演唱等，展现学校文化包容性与艺术教育成果。

Graduation Ceremony

At the ceremony for the Class of 2025, students received their high school diplomas. Multiple graduates gained admission to world-renowned universities, including top US institutions (ranked within the top 30), the UK's prestigious G5 universities like Cambridge University, UCL, and Hong Kong's top 8 universities, demonstrating the school's strong academic caliber. 

2025届高中毕业生在典礼上接受毕业证书，多名学生考入世界顶尖名校，包括美国前30大学、英国剑桥、UCL等G5大学、香港前8大学等等，彰显学校学术实力。

Alumni Reflections

One of the most representative outstanding graduates is a man who entered SAIS since kindergarten and was admitted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a scholarship of 500,000 this year. He emotionally shared, "SAIS not only equipped me with academic skills but also taught me to embrace global diversity with an open mind. Wherever I go, being a ‘SAIS student’ remains my lifelong identity." The president of the student union of the previous high school graduates made a brilliant appearance, causing screams and applause from classmates. Alumni worldwide sent video messages, showcasing achievements in technology, public service, and the arts, underscoring the enduring impact of the school’s "holistic education" philosophy.

其中一位优秀毕业生最具代表性，他是从幼儿园入读深美，今年被芝加哥艺术学院50万奖学金录取，在演讲中动情表示：“深美不仅赋予我学术能力，更教会我用开放心态拥抱世界差异。无论走到哪里，‘深美人’的身份始终是我的精神纽带。”上届高中毕业生学生会主席闪亮登场，引起同学们尖叫和掌声。多位校友通过视频从全球发来祝福，分享他们在科技、公益、艺术等领域的成就，印证学校“全人教育”理念的深远影响。

Thanksgiving Ceremony

The principal, parent representatives, and graduates jointly cut a 20th-anniversary cake, honoring the spirit of home-school collaboration and culminating in a heartfelt multilingual chorus of the school anthem.

Looking Ahead

The head of the school board emphasized in his closing speech: "Standing at the new starting point of the 20th anniversary, SAIS will continue to be driven by innovation, build a more open educational ecology, and contribute to international education.

Shenzhen American International School was established in 2005, which is one of Shenzhen’s first Ministry of Education-approved international schools for expatriate children, offering IB (International Baccalaureate) and AP (Advanced Placement) programs from 1.5 years old through high school. As one of the few schools in South China with **full IB PYP (Primary Years Programme) accreditation**, SAIS focuses on inquiry-based learning, fostering critical thinking and interdisciplinary skills from an early age. The AP program in high school further ensures students’ readiness for global universities. 

深圳市深美外籍人员子女学校创办于2005年，是经教育部批准、深圳市首批外籍人员子女学校之一，提供从学前至高中一贯制的IB（国际文凭）和AP（美国大学先修）国际课程。作为华南地区少数获得“IB PYP（小学项目）认证”的国际学校之一，深美以“探究式学习”为核心，从小学阶段起培养学生批判性思维与跨学科能力，为其终身学习奠定坚实基础；高中阶段开设AP课程，为孩子们的升学保驾护航。

Located south of Nanshan’s Sihai Park and adjacent to Shekou Youth Activity Center and Shekou Sports Center, SAIS boasts exceptional natural and cultural resources. Campus facilities include eight 400-meter all-weather running tracks, soccer fields, basketball courts, and a Nature Exploration Program that integrates outdoor activities and ecological studies to promote scientific inquiry and sustainability. 

学校坐落于南山区四海公园南侧，毗邻蛇口青少年活动中心及蛇口体育中心，拥有得天独厚的自然与人文资源。校园内配备8条400米全天候跑道、标准足球场、篮球场等先进体育设施，并依托周边生态资源开设“自然探索”特色课程，引导学生通过户外实践、生态观察等活动，培养科学探究精神与可持续发展理念。

SAIS’s world-class faculty holds international teaching certifications (e.g., IB, PGCE), with 100% of secondary teachers holding master’s or doctoral degrees. Guided by a faculty of seasoned PhDs and master’s holders, we cultivate students to be kind-hearted innovators, intellectually curious, community driven, and resilient in pursuing their passions. Most of the faculty hail from leading educational systems like the U.S., U.K., and Canada, enriching students’ academic and personal growth through diverse perspectives. The school maintains a "15-student small class policy" to ensure personalized attention and high-quality instruction.

SAIS integrates IB principles across all grades through experiential learning: 

-On-Campus Activities: Annual events like **International Day** and **Science Fair** allow students to showcase multicultural understanding, scientific innovation, and artistic creativity. 

-Off-Campus Learning: Age-specific programs include kindergarteners exploring ecological farms, elementary students investigating volcanic caves in Foshan’s Danxia landforms, and secondary students teaching in rural Guizhou to cultivate global citizenship through community service. 

深美将IB课程理念贯穿于全学段活动中，通过丰富的校内实践与研学项目，推动学生知行合一： 

-校内活动：每年举办International Day（国际文化日）、Science Fair（科学博览会）等活动，学生通过文化展示、科技发明、艺术创作等形式，展现多元文化理解力与创新思维。 

-校外研学：分学段设计深度实践项目——幼儿园学生走进生态农场，探索自然与生命的联结；小学生赴佛山丹霞地貌考察火山岩洞，以地质研究融合科学、地理与历史学科；中学生则前往贵州山区参与支教，通过教育帮扶践行社会责任，培养全球公民意识。
