I’m Jasmine from Class 4B, and I’m honored to speak under the rising national flag today. My topic is “Building Positive Habits for a Better School Life.”
There are three important habits that can truly improve your experience at school.
The first is time management. Using a planner or setting digital reminders can help you stay organized. It’s also helpful to break big tasks into smaller, more manageable steps. For example, instead of trying to read an entire book at once, you can start by reading just five pages a day.
The second habit is active learning. Instead of simply memorizing facts, ask questions and stay curious in class. You can also try teaching what you’ve learned to a friend—this helps deepen your understanding and makes learning more fun and meaningful.
The third habit is about respect and kindness. Start by greeting your teachers and classmates warmly. Show care for our shared environment by picking up litter, even if it’s not yours. Small actions like these help create a more positive and welcoming school community.
And here’s one final reminder: start small, stay consistent. You don’t have to change everything at once. Begin with one simple habit, like organizing your desk every Friday or helping one person each day. These small efforts, repeated over time, can lead to big results.
As the saying goes, “A river cuts through rock not because of its power, but because of its persistence.” Our school is more than just a place—it’s a community we build together. Let’s grow positive habits that make us proud, today and in the future.

Good morning, principals, teachers, and fellow students,
Standing beneath our national flag, I am reminded of what it represents—hope, unity, and progress. Today, I want to share a simple belief: great achievements begin with small steps.
As students, we often dream big—whether it's excelling in exams, mastering new skills, or one day making a meaningful contribution to society. But sometimes, these big goals can feel overwhelming. The key is to start small. One page of reading a day becomes knowledge over time. Five minutes of vocabulary review builds language fluency. Even a small act of kindness can spread positivity throughout our school.
Personally, I used to struggle with public speaking. Instead of fearing big stages, I started by simply speaking up during class discussions. Step by step, my confidence grew. In the same way, when we stay consistent—listening carefully in lessons, completing our homework with sincerity, helping a classmate in need—we are laying the foundation for our future success.
Our flag reminds us that every thread matters in weaving something great. Likewise, every small effort we make counts. Challenges are not something to fear—they are part of growth. A poor grade isn't a failure; it’s a lesson. A busy schedule isn't chaos; it’s an opportunity to learn how to prioritize.
Dear friends, let’s value these “small steps” we take every day. They are the quiet heroes behind our success. As the flag rises, let’s rise with it—steadfast, resilient, and full of hope.
In the end, it’s not one giant leap, but many small steps that move mountains.
