鲨鱼联盟年度庆典：体育精神在温情与激励中绽放

足球队员们在赛场上互相拥抱的炽热瞬间，飞盘队员们在绿茵草坪绽放的灿烂笑脸，篮球队员赛后为彼此揉肩放松的温情时刻……一张张定格感动的照片、一段段记录鲜活的影像，以最直白的方式传递着运动背后的温度。

万科梅沙书院鲨鱼体育联盟 (SHARKS) 年度晚宴在暮色中拉开帷幕，用以纪念和表彰梅沙师生们于2024-2025学年在校际体育竞赛上的成长与收获。

在体育联盟主任Joel Jackson先生的带领下，全体鲨鱼运动队员、十余位教练及学校领导/教职工代表共同见证了荣耀时刻。体育与健康教育主席Simon Lo博士和心理健康专家Pauline Ooko女士受邀发言，他们将亲身经历和专业洞察结合，为梅沙师生们送上温暖话语。

互动游戏 "We Speak Life" 将当晚的气氛推向了高潮。通过具象化的语句赋能，一句句励志箴言将成为梅沙学子的精神坐标，未来继续引领着他们在体育竞技的道路上突破自我。

The fiery moments when football players hug each other on the field, the bright smiles of frisbee players blooming on the green lawn, the tender moments when basketball players knead each other's shoulders to relax after the game... Photos freezing touching moments and videos recording vivid scenes convey the warmth behind sports in the most straightforward way.

The annual banquet of The Sharks Sports League (SHARKS) of Vanke Meisha Academy kicked off in the twilight, aiming to commemorate and commend the growth and achievements of VMA teachers and students in interschool sports competitions during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Under the leadership of Mr. Joel Jackson, Athletics Director, all Shark athletes, more than ten coaches, and school leaders/staff representatives jointly witnessed the glorious moment. Dr. Simon Lo, Chairman of Physical and Health Education, and Ms. Pauline Ooko, a mental health expert, were invited to speak. They combined their personal experiences with professional insights to send warm messages to VMA teachers and students.

The interactive game "We Speak Life" pushed the atmosphere of the night to a climax. Through the empowerment of visualized sentences, each inspirational motto will become the spiritual coordinate of VMA students, continuing to guide them to break through themselves on the road of sports competition in the future.

Highlight Moments of SHARKS

万科梅沙书院鲨鱼体育联盟 (SHARKS) 成立于2018年，致力于培养学生卓越的运动能力，并通过团体协作及竞技比拼中塑造他们的品格。

经过这些年的发展，鲨鱼联盟已拥有篮球、足球、排球、羽毛球、飞盘、越野跑、网球、赛艇8个项目的男/女子代表队。

2024-2025学年对鲨鱼联盟而言，堪称里程碑式的 “突破之年”。在足球、篮球等传统优势项目保持领先的同时，鲨鱼联盟在项目拓展、参与机制、影响力辐射等维度实现了多维度创新，展现出梅沙体育教育与全人培养深度融合的新图景。

The Sharks Sports League (SHARKS) of Vanke Meisha Academy was founded in 2018, dedicated to cultivating students' excellent athletic abilities and shaping their character through team collaboration and competitive competitions.

After years of development, SHARKS has established boys' and girls' representative teams in 8 sports: basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, frisbee, cross-country running, tennis, and rowing.

The 2024-25 academic year is a milestone "breakthrough year" for SHARKS. While maintaining leadership in traditional sports like football and basketball, SHARKS has achieved multi-dimensional innovations in project expansion, participation mechanisms, influence radiation, and other aspects, demonstrating a new vision of the deep integration of VMA physical education and holistic education.

- 12支运动队共154名学生参与，学生参与率创VMA历史新高；

- 共举办了80多场体育赛事，设置了76项体育赛事赛程，包含3场公开邀请赛；

- 获胜比赛场次达40场（最终获得2座联赛奖杯），其中多项男、女子体育项目获得了冠军荣誉；

- 个人/团体共获得72项奖项；

- 学年内新成立了飞盘校队，拥抱竞技体育不断发展的新趋势

- 与更多国际学校建立了新的合作伙伴关系，拓展了学生们的竞技视野；

- 推出了VMA体育赛事直播平台，将鲨鱼队的精神传递给全球的粉丝。

- A total of 154 students from 12 sports teams participated, with the student participation rate hitting a new historical high at VMA.

- More than 80 sports events were held, with 76 sports fixtures set up, including 3 public invitational tournaments.

- The number of winning matches reached 40 (ultimately winning 2 league trophies), among which multiple boys' and girls' sports projects won championship honors.

- A total of 72 individual/team awards were obtained.

- During the academic year, a frisbee team was newly established to embrace the continuous development trend of competitive sports.

- New relations were established with more international schools, expanding students' competitive vision.

- The VMA sports event live broadcast platform was launched to convey the spirit of SHARKS to fans worldwide.

体育联盟主任Joel Jackson先生在鲨鱼联盟的组建和发展中倾注了很多的力量。他表示，学生运动员所展现出的精神和决心不断激励着我们所有人，这也再次印证了体育在教育中的重要地位。

“我们应该清楚了解，这些体育类的成就对我们的学生个人成长以及大学申请都有着重大意义。如今，大学越来越重视全面发展的人才，参与体育活动能够展现其领导力、团队合作、时间管理能力以及奉献精神。这些正是大学对其潜在学生中所看重与考量的品质。”

Mr. Joel Jackson has invested a lot of effort in the establishment and development of The Sharks Sports League. He stated that the spirit and determination shown by student athletes continue to inspire us all, which once again confirms the important position of sports in education.

"It's important to note that these athletic achievements contribute significantly to our students' personal growth and university applications. Universities increasingly value well-rounded individuals, and participation in sports demonstrates leadership, teamwork, time management, and dedication – all highly sought-after qualities in prospective students."

Touching Moments of SHARKS

这个学期最让我难忘的就是足球决赛的点球大战。当时比分1比1，我第一个主罚点球，稳稳踢进了。这全靠队友们整场的坚持和努力，特别是最后时刻的关键进球，让我们有机会进入点球决胜。对方也进了一球，1比1平。这时我们的守门员发挥很厉害，连续当道对方的点球。轮到我踢第二个点球时，我紧张得心跳加速，很怕踢不进会让全队的努力都白费。我深呼吸，专注地盯着球门，助跑射门，球进了！还没回过神，队友们就冲过来紧紧抱住我，大家欢呼。观众也站起来为我们鼓掌加油，那一刻我激动得说不出话来。这是我踢球以来最开心，我永远都不会忘记。

The most unforgettable moment this semester was the penalty shootout in the football final. With the score tied at 1-1, I took the first penalty kick and scored steadily—all thanks to my teammates' perseverance throughout the match, especially that crucial equalizing goal in the final minute that earned us the shootout chance. The opposing team also netted one, keeping the score level. Our goalkeeper then showed incredible skill, saving two consecutive penalties. When it came to my second kick, my heart raced with fear that missing would waste everyone's effort. I took a deep breath, focused on the goal, ran up, and shot—the ball went in! Before I could react, teammates rushed to hug me tightly, cheering loudly as the audience stood to applaud. In that moment, I was too moved to speak. It's the happiest memory of my football journey, one I'll never forget.

在某场和友好学校的点球大战中，我发现我的心里没有紧张，而是一种“终于要由我来书写剧情”的冲动…只记得球进后队友疯狂的向我跑来抱在一起庆祝这场胜利。

…我感受到足球不止是去学会怎么去信任队友，更是学会怎么让他人能够去将希望寄托于你。

虽然在今年夺得了冠军，实现了校际比赛两连冠。但是我觉得Sharks们对自己的表现应该有更高的要求。我们明年的目标不仅是卫冕，更是要打造一支无论人员如何变动，都能保持顽强风格的球队。

In a penalty shootout against a friendly school, I found that instead of nervousness, there was an urge in my heart: "It's finally my turn to write the story..." I only remember that after the goal went in, my teammates ran towards me frantically and hugged each other to celebrate the victory.

...I realized that football is not just about learning to trust teammates, but also about learning how to let others place their hopes in you.

Although we won the championship this year and achieved two consecutive interschool competition titles, I think all members should set higher standards for their performance. Our goal for next year is not only to defend the title, but also to build a team that can maintain a tenacious style regardless of personnel changes.

我很满意今年球队的表现。我们今年的队员一开始都不是很熟悉排球，从几乎初学，到现在拥有自信的技术，还有训练中的互帮互助，都让我看到了未来队伍的潜力。

我对未来队员的期待就是在心理上突破自己，比赛时能够沉得下心，让自己有最好的竞技状态。

最后我想说，排球是6个人的运动，但也是排球队所有人的战斗，每个人的进步都会让整个队伍越来越强大，祝下届排球队取得更好的成绩！

I am very satisfied with the team's performance this year. At the beginning, none of our team members were familiar with volleyball. From almost being beginners to now having confident skills, and the mutual help in training, all have shown me the potential of the team in the future.My expectation for future team members is to break through themselves psychologically, stay calm during competitions, and maintain their best competitive state. Finally, I want to say that volleyball is a sport for 6 people, but it is also a battle for the entire volleyball team. Everyone's progress will make the whole team stronger and stronger. I wish the next volleyball team better results!
