Only with a relaxed mindset can one study efficiently. As the High School Entrance Examination is approaching, in order to help ninth-grade students release pressure and adjust their mindset, our school has planned a joyful and warm stress-relief activity on the playground. Let's embark on this wonderful journey of "letting go of pressure and going into battle with a light load"!
01.
Dynamic Opening,
Happy Sailing
At the beginning of the activity, students formed a circle on the playground by class. The psychological counselor stood in the center, leading everyone to start the warm-up game of "Balloon Relay". They passed a balloon named "High School Entrance Examination Pressure" with their hands. Amid the exclamations and laughter when the balloon accidentally dropped, the students' tense nerves gradually relaxed, and the atmosphere at the scene became lively instantly, kicking off a cheerful prelude to the following activities.

Theme Activity:
Release Pressure
Pressure Graffiti Balloons:
Crush Worries and Embrace Relaxation
Each student received 2-3 balloons and colored markers. In this moment, the balloons became "containers" for carrying stress. Everyone turned their inner concerns and anxieties—such as "worrying about poor exam performance" or "too much homework"—into words or patterns, writing and drawing them on the balloons. Then, at the teacher's command, "pop" sounds rang out one after another as students stomped on the balloons with all their might. The long-accumulated pressure seemed to dissipate along with the bursts, leaving only a sense of relief and joy.
Balloon Relay Race:
Unite in Collaboration and Converge Strength
Students were divided into groups of four, launching a unique balloon relay race on the designated track. They had to ensure the balloons didn’t drop while racing against time. When each group completed the relay, cheers erupted as students felt the power of unity through teamwork and temporarily forgot exam anxieties.
As the activity drew to a close, students shared their feelings. Some said that stomping on balloons was extremely stress-relieving, while others felt proud of their team's tacit cooperation. They also exchanged practical stress-relief methods and experiences in adjusting mindset. Then, teachers distributed small gifts with senior high school entrance examination blessings to each student, symbolizing the hope and confidence of all teachers in Huamei School for the ninth-grade students who are about to set out, putting a perfect end to this activity.

High School Entrance Examination
Collective activities that are relaxing, enjoyable and interesting are effective ways to reduce stress. To study easily and happily, students should also master some practical stress-relief methods in daily life. Here are some suggestions for you:

Spare 30 minutes every day for moderate exercise, such as running, skipping rope, playing badminton, etc. Exercise promotes the body to secrete endorphins, which can help alleviate tension and make you feel relaxed and happy.
Find a quiet place to sit or lie down, close your eyes, inhale slowly, let the air fill your abdomen, feel the abdomen expand like a balloon, and then exhale slowly. Repeat this several times. This deep breathing exercise can regulate the breathing frequency and relax the body and mind.
Choose your favorite soothing music and listen to it during study breaks or before going to bed. Gentle melodies can soothe the nerves, calm anxiety, and provide a relaxing environment for the brain.
Chat with family, friends or teachers, and pour out your inner troubles and pressures. Sometimes, just speaking them out can make you feel much lighter, and they can also offer you different perspectives and suggestions.
Make a scientific study plan and reasonably arrange study time and rest time. When you have a clear plan for study tasks, it will reduce the anxiety caused by uncertainty and improve learning efficiency.
