The morning light of September filtered through the flame trees, casting a warm glow across the OCAHS campus. The air was permeated with a sense of anticipation and aspiration. At 9:00 AM on September 2, 2025, faculty and students gathered in the academic lecture hall to witness the commencement of the 2025-2026 academic year opening ceremony.

今年开学典礼的主题是“篇章初展，未来无界”，与去年的“融合多元，探索无限”一样，都是体现博恒橘郡对现实的洞察，对未来的无限想象，更是对培养未来国际型创新人才的不懈探索。

This year’s theme, “Unfolding Chapters, Unbound Beginnings,” echoed last year’s “Integrating Diversity, Exploring Infinity.” Both reflect OCAHS’s profound insight into the present and boundless imagination for the future, as well as its unwavering commitment to nurturing globally-minded innovators.

远在千里之外的斯坦福大学教授Sanford Dickert通过视频送来新学期的祝福。

Professor Sanford Dickert from Stanford University, thousands of miles away, sent his blessings for the new semester via video. 

作为橘郡国际全球委员会成员以及博恒橘郡STEM和AI项目的首席督导，Sanford教授感谢同学们及家长们对过去STEM和AI项目的努力与支持，并叮嘱同学们要好好珍惜学校提供的各种资源，去探索更多关于世界、关于自己的知识。

As a member of the OCAHS International Global Committee and the chief advisor of OCAHS’s STEM and AI programs, Professor Sanford expressed his gratitude to students and parents for their efforts and support in past STEM and AI initiatives. He encouraged students to cherish the resources provided by the school and explore more about the world and themselves.

橘郡国际中国总校校长左阳教授发表重要讲话。左阳教授回顾了学校过去一年取得的优异成绩，并对全体师生提出新学期的期望与叮嘱。

Professor Zuo Yang, the President of OCAHS International China Campus, delivered an important speech. He reviewed the outstanding achievements of the past year and shared his expectations for the new semester. 

左阳教授强调，在复杂多变的国际化教育背景下，学校持续推出系列新举措，为学生打造多元、舒适、个性的学习生活氛围，坚决摒弃“一刀切”的评价标准，努力看见、理解并珍视每一个不一样的“学生个体”，真正尊重学生的个性与潜力，让学生的每一次有益尝试都能获得鼓励，每一个奇思妙想都有落地生长的土壤。

Professor Zuo emphasized that in the complex and ever-changing landscape of international education, the school continues to introduce new initiatives to create a diverse, comfortable, and personalized learning environment. OCAHS firmly rejects a “one-size-fits-all” evaluation standard, striving to see, understand, and cherish each unique student. By truly respecting students’ individuality and potential, the school ensures that every beneficial attempt is encouraged and every innovative idea finds fertile ground to grow.

在学年表彰环节，学校为2024-2025学年表现优异的学生颁发了“Honor Roll”和“High Honor Roll”奖项。

During the academic recognition segment, the school awarded “Honor Roll” and “High Honor Roll” awards to students who excelled in the 2024-2025 academic year. 

这些同学在学术成绩、社会实践、科技创新和艺术体育等领域取得了突出成就，充分体现了博恒橘郡“多元评价、全人发展”的育人理念。

These students demonstrated outstanding achievements in academics, social practice, technological innovation, arts, and sports, fully embodying OCAHS’s educational philosophy of “diverse evaluation and holistic development.”

典礼中一个令人振奋的环节是博恒橘郡DSE学部中六学生的集体宣誓。同学们意气风发、誓言铿锵，表达了冲刺2026年DSE大考的坚定信心和决心。他们的誓言将典礼推向高潮，展现了博恒橘郡学子敢于挑战、追求卓越的精神品质。

A highlight of the ceremony was the collective oath taken by the DSE Division’s senior students. With high spirits and resolute determination, they pledged to strive for success in the 2026 DSE examinations. Their vows brought the ceremony to a climax, showcasing the courage and pursuit of excellence that define OCAHS students.

博恒橘郡常务副校长孔芳芳在总结讲话中，以“博恒橘郡六大美德”——“智慧与知识、勇气、仁慈、公正、自我超越、节制”为核心，对同学们提出期望与要求。她鼓励同学们要严于律己，敢于思辨，善于思考，以开阔的视野和坚实的行动，书写属于自己的青春篇章。

In her concluding remarks, Veronica Kong, Executive Vice President of OCAHS, centered her address around the “Six Virtues of OCAHS”: wisdom and knowledge, courage, humanity, justice, Transcendence, and temperance. She encouraged students to exercise self-discipline, engage in critical thinking, and broaden their horizons with solid actions to write their own youth stories.
