To effectively ensure the safety of students during school bus rides, Huamei Foreign Language School conducted a school bus safety emergency evacuation drill on the morning of October 14, 2025.

Vice Principal He Xiaojun, the chief commander of the school bus safety emergency evacuation drill, announced: "The school bus safety emergency evacuation drill of Huamei Foreign Language School begins now."

At the beginning of the drill was the routine pre-departure inspection. The school bus driver and the bus attendant had clear divisions of labor and conducted a comprehensive "check-up" on the bus. They carefully inspected the tire wear and whether the tire pressure was normal, tested the responsiveness of the brake system, and checked if equipment such as lights and windshield wipers were functioning properly. Meanwhile, they carefully verified whether the medicines in the first-aid kit were complete and if the fire extinguishers were within their valid period. No detail was overlooked to ensure the bus was in optimal condition before hitting the road.

Immediately after, the emergency evacuation drill for a sudden school bus accident unfolded intensely. Simulating a sudden bus breakdown, the driver stopped the vehicle immediately and turned on the hazard lights. The attendant quickly instructed students to unbuckle their seatbelts and evacuated them in an orderly manner from the doors and emergency windows to a safe area, following the pre-determined evacuation route.

After the drill, the school organized all participants to conduct a summary and feedback session, analyzing the problems identified during the drill and proposing improvement measures.

This drill is of great significance. It not only enhanced the school bus safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of teachers and students, but also tested the effectiveness of school bus safety management. It enabled teachers and students to master the emergency handling methods for school bus accidents, laying a solid foundation for the safe travel of all teachers and students in the school.
