Halloween at SAIS｜当学习遇上奇幻，深美变成了一座“魔法校园

Every year on October 31st, Halloween brings together joy, imagination, and tradition.Originating from the ancient Celtic festival Samhain, people once lit lanterns and dressed up to ward off darkness and fear.

As time passed, it evolved into a global celebration of creativity, courage, and cultural exchange.

At SAIS, Halloween is not just a holiday—it’s a living classroom where students explore tradition, creativity, and community. 

As part of the celebration, students created their own pumpkin lanterns after learning about their origin.

Teachers shared the old Irish legend of Jack, who carved a hollowed turnip to light his way through the dark.

When this tradition reached America, people replaced turnips with pumpkins, symbolizing the power to chase away darkness and welcome light.

Through hands-on making and storytelling, students experienced the warmth of tradition and discovered that courage and hope can shine through every act of learning.

The campus turned into a magical stage!

Vampires, unicorns, witches, princesses, and superheroes filled the halls—each costume a reflection of confidence and creativity.

Cheers and laughter echoed across the school,as every student took pride in expressing themselves and celebrating diversity.

The Halloween carnival was full of laughter and excitement.

Students joined in games like Shoot the Ghosts, Catch the Spider, and Rescue the Candy Fairy,learning teamwork and problem-solving through play.

From decorating classrooms to creating small mazes, every joyful moment reflected curiosity and imagination in action.

Led by the Student Council, students sang Halloween Songs as they knocked on every classroom door, shouting “Trick or treat!”

Some rooms turned into spooky haunted houses, while others challenged them with puzzles and surprises.Amid laughter and courage, students discovered that bravery can come from the smallest acts of curiosity.

每年10月31日的万圣节（Halloween），源自古代凯尔特人的“萨温节”（Samhain）。

在那个夜晚，人们相信亡灵会回到人间，点亮南瓜灯、穿上奇装异服，是为了驱散恐惧、迎接光明。

如今，它早已成为全世界孩子们最期待的节日——象征着勇气、想象与文化的包容。

而在深美（SAIS），我们用自己的方式，让这个节日焕发出教育的意义与创造的火花。

在万圣节的准备中，学生们亲手制作南瓜灯。老师带领大家了解了南瓜灯的由来——它源自古老的爱尔兰传说。

传说中有个名叫 Jack 的人，为了在黑夜中找到回家的路，用挖空的萝卜放上烛光。当这项传统传到美国后，人们改用南瓜制作灯笼，象征着驱散黑暗、迎接光明。

通过亲手体验制作与了解故事的过程，孩子们不仅感受到了动手创作的乐趣，也在探究中理解了文化背后的意义——勇气、光明与希望，总能在学习与生活中被点亮。

万圣节巡游一开场，校园瞬间变成了欢乐的“魔法剧场”！

吸血鬼、独角兽、巫师、公主、超级英雄纷纷登场，

每一位学生都用自信和笑容点燃全场的热情。

掌声、欢呼与尖叫交织成最动听的旋律——那一刻，他们不仅在表演，更在展示自我、表达勇气。

在大礼堂举行的节日嘉年华上，孩子们挑战“射小鬼”“套蜘蛛”“解救小精灵糖果”“南瓜保龄球”等游戏，一边玩、一边学，在合作中收获快乐与成就感。

他们用想象力装饰教室、用创意设计关卡，每一个笑容背后，都是创造与思考的闪光时刻。

最激动人心的环节，当然是“不给糖就捣乱”！孩子们唱着 Halloween Song，一路敲开每一扇教室的门，大声喊出那句熟悉的口号：“Trick or treat!”有的教室被布置成神秘的鬼屋，有的隐藏着小机关和谜题。他们尖叫、欢笑、奔跑，在一次次探险中学会勇敢、体验合作。
