When creativity meets couture — JCA Visits | ISNS 与 JCA 共创时尚新想象
ISNS recently had the honour of welcoming distinguished guests from JCA | London Fashion Academy, founded by world-renowned designer Professor Jimmy Choo OBE. The visit spanned two days, offering our students an immersive experience in fashion, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
The JCA leadership team — Ms. Lucy Choi (Director), Mr. Stefán A.R Orschel-Read (Director of Programmes), and Ms. Silja Manninen (Programme Leader) — first met students in the gallery for engaging discussions. This was followed by one-on-one portfolio consultations and early admissions guidance for our DP students, sparking some really insightful conversations.
Fashion & Entrepreneurship
On the following day, the JCA team delivered an inspiring presentation to our high school students, sharing their innovative approach to fashion, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
Sculptural Design Workshop
Afterwards, students participated in a hands-on creative workshop titled “Fashion Design – Sculptural Forms: 3D on the Body.”
In this challenge, students became designers for the day — crafting extraordinary sculptural pieces using paper, tape, and inspiration from architecture and nature. Guest students from QSI and SWIS also joined, creating a vibrant atmosphere of artistic exploration.
After an hour of imagination and design, students presented their creations in a mini showcase. The JCA team selected winners who demonstrated creativity, originality, and vision, awarding exclusive JCA Summer/Winter Camp vouchers worth up to £500.

随后，学生们参与了实践型创意工作坊 “Fashion Design – Sculptural Forms: 3D on the Body”。
在挑战中，学生们化身为设计师，仅使用纸张、胶带和灵感图像，以建筑或自然为灵感，创造出独特的立体造型作品。来自深圳蛇口科爱赛国际学校和深圳外国语学校国际部的学生也一同参与其中，营造出充满活力与艺术氛围的创作现场。
经过一小时的创意设计后，学生们展示了作品。JCA评审团队从创意、原创性和表现力等方面评选出优胜者，并颁发了最高价值达500英镑的JCA伦敦暑期/冬季课程奖学金券。
