To practice the philosophy of potential - oriented education and build a growth platform for the in - depth integration of theory and practice, students of Grades 4 to 9 in our school went to Guangzhou and launched a two - day and one - night immersive cultural decoding study tour.This activity enabled students to step out of textbooks: during the water town history study tour, they explored history and understood regional culture; through the experience of intangible cultural heritage such as Cantonese opera and flower lanterns, they stimulated their innate sense of aesthetics and cultural empathy; in the lion dance practice, they tempered their abilities of teamwork and creative expression, and gathered the spiritual power of inheriting cultural traditions with perseverance. In the process of feeling the warmth of culture, students achieved potential development, which truly enlightened their wisdom and refined their moral character.

In the early morning of December 10, a fleet of coaches carried students from Grades 4 to 9 of our school to the Huangpu Military Academy Memorial Hall for an extended study tour themed "Study Tour at Huangpu Military Academy: Tracing the Glory of the 1911 Revolution".

This activity enabled students to step out of the classroom, get close to the real - life revolutionary sites, explore the profound heritage of Guangzhou's revolutionary history, and enhance their confidence in historical cognition. Immersed in the atmosphere of revolutionary cultural relics and the motto "Fraternity, Sincerity, and Dedication", students felt the profound weight of history. By exploring history, tracing historical relics and engaging in hands - on practice, they cultivated a spirit of critical thinking and exploration, thus achieving the inheritance of red culture.The students explored the "Zoumalou" (the main building) of Huangpu Military Academy, understanding the connection between its brick - wood structure, symmetrical layout and the academy's discipline. They observed exhibits such as cadets' uniforms and rifles while listening to the revolutionary stories behind them. Stepping into the restored classrooms and offices, they experienced the rigorous atmosphere shaped by the school motto "Fraternity, Sincerity, and Dedication".

Wandering through the Dragon Boat Hall and the Qiaoxiang Museum, the Lingnan water town life captured in old photos and the bustling commercial vibe of the arcades have turned into tangible history.

Listening to the gentle fluttering of water sleeves in Cantonese opera and watching the flickering glow of flower lanterns, the children squatted in front of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Museum, whispering about the differences between these scenes and the intangible cultural heritage described in their textbooks.

What stood out the most was the session of Lion Dance Culture Explanation. Following the intangible cultural heritage instructors, the students learned the basic moves of lion dance and imitated the vivid agility of the caiqing (lion dance ritual of plucking the greens). Everyone held the lion heads and studied them carefully, exclaiming, "The bright red color of the lion heads is the very essence and spirit of Lingnan lion dance!"

Upon arriving at Guangzhou Sunac Land, the students headed to the theater with eager anticipation, where a spectacular international circus show was about to kick off. Carefully selected by the school, this performance was like a magical feast of art, opening a door to the palace of art for the students.Sunac Grand Circus combined various acrobatic, magic and clown performances perfectly with dance and music art through its twisting and turning plot as well as gorgeous and dreamy lighting and stage design. The performers danced gracefully on the stage; they performed amazing magic tricks that left the students in awe; the clowns’ funny and lovely acts even had everyone roaring with laughter. The whole theater was immersed in an atmosphere of joy and amazement, making everyone feel as if they were in a dreamlike artistic world.

After lunch, everyone moved to the Ice - Snow World — a crystal - clear ice - snow kingdom, just like a fairy - tale world, came into sight and deeply touched every student's heart. In the Sunac Snow Miracle Park, an exciting and fun ice - snow adventure officially kicked off.

For the snow tubing activity, the students excitedly climbed onto the saucer-shaped inflatable tubes and zoomed down the towering snow slopes. The wind whistled past their ears, speed and excitement surged in their hearts, and screams and laughter echoed throughout the ski resort.The ice bumper cars brought the students into a joyful world of collisions. They raced and bumped freely across the mirror-smooth ice, and every crash triggered waves of cheerful laughter that lingered over the ice for a long time.

The adventure trail stretched across the ice and snow world like a giant dragon, testing the courage and perseverance of every participant. Summoning up their courage, the students took step by step to challenge the limits of height, speed, strength and perseverance. When they successfully overcame numerous obstacles and stood at the finish line, they were filled with pride and a strong sense of accomplishment.

Activities such as ice biking, snow paradise, flower - themed snow tubing and ice slides were also embedded in this ice - snow world like bright pearls, making the students linger on and forget to leave. Amidst the ice and snow, everyone fully unleashed the vitality of youth. Every challenge was a transcendence of oneself; every persistence fostered a strong will to overcome the cold and conquer fear. The school meticulously arranged these activities in the hope that the students could temper themselves through challenges and thrive robustly amid difficulties.

As the coaches bound for school pulled away slowly, this autumn study tour drew to a close. Back on campus, the students’ study tour handbooks were filled with notes.This study tour was a cultural gift from the school to the children — it allowed them to feel the warmth of Lingnan in the autumn scenery, and to understand through practice that "inheritance" is not an abstract term, but lies in every segment of the explanation they listened to attentively, and in the curiosity that drives them to take the initiative to learn about traditional culture.

The gains of the students are like bright and dazzling stars, shining brightly in their hearts. They built their growth together through teamwork and learned the true meaning of cooperation and sharing. All of these will become precious treasures in the students' lives, inspiring them to forge ahead unceasingly on the road ahead.
