Good morning, everyone! I’m truly honored to have this opportunity to share some thoughts with you.

Today, I want to talk about something we all deal with every day—time management.

People often say that time is the fairest thing—each of us gets exactly 24 hours a day, no more and no less. Yet even with the same amount of time, some people seem to have everything under control, handling schoolwork, hobbies, and activities smoothly, while others are always running behind, thinking, “I’ll do it later.” What makes the difference? It’s whether we learn to take control of our time.

As senior high school students, our workload is becoming heavier. Between homework, tests, and extracurricular activities, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Without good planning, we may end up focusing on small tasks while missing what really matters. The good news is that time management isn’t as hard as it seems. Here are a few simple tips.

First, try spending five minutes each night writing down what you need to do the next day. Sort your tasks and tackle the most important ones first.

Second, pay full attention in class. Following the teacher closely can actually save you a lot of review time later.

And third, make use of those little pockets of time. Instead of scrolling through short videos for ten minutes, you could memorize a poem or solve a math problem.

So let’s start now. Let’s become the masters of our own time and use every minute wisely to create a brighter future for ourselves.

Good morning, Principals, fellow teachers, and students,

We’ve all heard this saying: “The world is so big—I want to see it.”

But with such a huge world, how do we actually look at it? The key is to build a global perspective—the ability to understand other countries, cultures, and ways of thinking.

We are special. We understand Chinese culture, and through Hong Kong, we also experience the world. This is our unique strength in developing global understanding. It’s not just about speaking English or traveling abroad; it’s about understanding why people in different places live the way they do and think the way they think.

First, we need to know ourselves well. How can we understand others if we don’t understand our own home? Do we know the stories behind our festivals and traditions? When we understand our own roots, we can connect with others confidently.

Second, we need to look beyond our own bubble. Our phones often show us only what we already like or agree with. To truly see the world, we must stay curious. Talk to an exchange student and ask, “Why is this important to you?” Try to understand their point of view.

Most importantly, this is about what we can do. We can be bridges. When someone misunderstands, can we explain with kindness? Can we share our Hong Kong story in a way that brings people together? Small actions can make a big difference.

The world faces many big challenges, such as climate change, that require global cooperation. But we cannot work together if we do not understand one another.

So, “seeing the world” starts right here. It begins with being proud of who you are, staying curious, and using your unique voice to build connections.

Let’s not just be tourists in this world. Let’s be explorers, bridge-builders, and friends.

Your journey starts now.
