第二十一周升旗儀式

Dear Principal, teachers, and fellow students, good morning. I’m Celina from Class 4A. It’s an honor to share my thoughts with all of you today. My topic is “Lighting Up School Life with a Positive Mindset.”

A positive mindset is like sunshine for the soul—it brightens our learning journey. Today, I would like to share three practical habits we can build to help us stay positive in our daily school life.

First, embrace a growth mindset. Believe that your abilities can grow with effort. See a tough problem as a chance to improve, not as a judgment of your skills. If you get a low score on a quiz, treat it as a guide to fill in knowledge gaps, rather than a label of failure.

Second, practice gratitude. Notice the small joys each day—perhaps a teacher’s encouragement, a classmate’s kindness, or even new leaves on a tree. A simple “thank you” to someone who helps you can lift your spirits and strengthen your sense of belonging.

Third, talk to yourself kindly. Instead of saying, “I can’t do anything right,” try saying, “This is part of learning—I’ll do better next time.” Be your own biggest supporter.

Remember, changing your mindset starts with small steps. Try writing down one thing you’re grateful for each day, or using a positive phrase when you face a challenge. As the saying goes, “We don’t persevere because we see hope; we see hope because we persevere.”

Let’s work together to build a more positive outlook and create a warmer, more resilient school community. In doing so, we won’t only light up our own learning journey—we’ll also be ready to shine in the wider world.
