Shenzhen American International School’s annual Chinese New Year Performance and IB PYP Celebration of Learning brought our community together in a powerful display of culture, creativity, and student growth.

This year’s celebration welcomed the Year of the Horse with energy and confidence. The performances captured the spirit of renewal, strength, and forward movement—values that closely align with SAIS’s vision for learning and student development. From music and dance to coordinated stage presentations, our students demonstrated not only talent, but also discipline, collaboration, and pride in cultural expression.

Beyond the performances, the event served as a meaningful Celebration of Learning for students from Kindergarten through Grade 5. Classrooms and shared spaces transformed into interactive learning environments where students presented their work, explained their thinking, and actively engaged parents in the learning process. Through presentations, displays, and hands-on activities, students articulated what they had learned, how they learned it, and why it mattered.

This approach reflects the core principles of inquiry-based learning: students as thinkers, communicators, and owners of their learning. Rather than simply showcasing final products, students demonstrated understanding, reflection, and growth. Parents were not passive observers—they became participants, asking questions, engaging in activities, and witnessing learning in action.

The event also highlighted the strength of our learning community. Teachers guided students with care and intention, ensuring that learning was both rigorous and accessible. Parents showed strong engagement and support, reinforcing the partnership between home and school that is essential to student success.

We are also delighted to welcome Ms. Liu Yingying, Head of the Examination Centre, to the stage for a special unveiling ceremony.

The Cambridge English Certificates are open to all learners aged 6 and above, with no restrictions based on nationality or background. As competency-based English assessments, these qualifications enjoy wide recognition from schools and educational institutions worldwide. They systematically strengthen students’ practical English proficiency while providing a distinct advantage for their future academic pathways.

Together, the Chinese New Year Performance and the IB PYP Celebration of Learning captured what defines SAIS: a school where academic learning, cultural understanding, and community connection come together with purpose. As we step into the Year of the Horse, we do so with momentum—celebrating where our students are now, and confidently looking ahead to where they are going.

除了精彩汇演，本次活动也是幼儿园至5年级学生的专属学习成果展。教室及公共区域化身为互动学习空间，学生们展示自己的作品、阐述思考过程，并积极邀请家长参与其中。通过展示、陈列与实践活动，学生们清晰表达了自己的所学、所学方法及学习意义。

这种呈现方式践行了探究式学习的核心原则：让学生成为思考者、沟通者，真正主宰自己的学习。学生们并非单纯展示最终成果，而是着重呈现自己的理解、反思与成长。家长们也不再是被动的旁观者——他们化身参与者，提出疑问、参与活动，亲身见证学习的实时过程。

本次活动也彰显了我们学习社区的强大凝聚力。教师们悉心引导、用心陪伴，确保学习过程既严谨规范，又易于学生理解吸收。家长们积极参与、全力支持，进一步巩固了家校伙伴关系——这正是学生取得成功的关键所在。

我们荣幸邀请到了考试中心主任刘盈颖女士登台，共同参与本次专属揭幕仪式。

剑桥英语认证面向6周岁及以上所有学习者开放，无国籍等报名限制，是聚焦语言能力的权威英语测评。该项认证成绩获得海内外众多院校与教育机构的广泛认可，在稳步提升孩子英语实用能力的同时，也为他们的升学深造筑牢核心竞争力。
