"Helping Children Build Executive Function Skills at Home: Simple Strategies for Busy Families"

ISNS is pleased to invite K5–G5 parents (EY and PYP) to our upcoming hosted Parent Talk focused on developing children’s executive function (EF) skills—essential life skills that support independence and long-term success.

Executive function skills are foundational life skills that enable children to become independent, self-directed learners. These skills include planning, task initiation, time management, organization, self-regulation, attention control, cognitive flexibility, and metacognition. 

Strong executive function skills support children not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

This session aims to equip parents with realistic and effective strategies to support their child’s growth at home, fostering greater independence and resilience.

We are honored to welcome Ms. Louise Fu (傅盈儒), Occupational Therapist from Olivia’s Place.

Ms. Louise is an experienced occupational therapy consultant with a strong clinical foundation developed through her work in several public hospitals in Taipei, as well as full-time roles in a children’s attention center and adaptive rehabilitation clinic. She is deeply passionate about functional intervention for children and adolescents and brings extensive hands-on experience to her practice.

Her expertise includes family-based intervention and functional support for children with learning differences, emotional and executive functioning challenges, as well as fine and gross motor development needs. She designs individualized intervention plans tailored to each child’s strengths and needs. 

In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Louise actively contributes to community education by delivering lectures and training sessions for parents and educators, promoting awareness of child development and early intervention.
