4月25日,深圳橘郡国际学校(OCAHS)将迎来一场思想与灵感的盛宴——TEDx OCAHS Youth。本届大会以 “Reimagine the Future 重构未来” 为主题,邀请橘郡中国社区的青年讲者与斯坦福大学教授同台,用观点点燃行动,用对话打开未来。

On April 25th, OCAHS in Shenzhen will host a feast of ideas and inspiration — TEDx OCAHS Youth. Under the theme "Reimagine the Future," this year's conference brings together youth speakers from the OCAHS and a Stanford professor on the same stage, igniting action through ideas and opening up the future through dialogue.

本次大会特别邀请到斯坦福大学教授、橘郡国际全球委员会成员、橘郡STEM与AI项目首席督导、世界顶级人工智能专家、斯坦福大学校友面试官 Sanford Dickert 教授来到现场。

This conference has specially invited Professor Sanford Dickert to the stage — a Stanford professor, a member of the OCAHS Global Council, the Chief Supervisor of the OCAHS STEM and AI Program, a world-leading artificial intelligence expert, and a Stanford alumni interviewer.

For a long time, Peiheng Liu imagined the future the way many students are taught to: as something to be prepared for early, strategically, and competitively. The right major, the right college, the right path ahead. But he has started to wonder whether that mindset is already narrowing the future before it even arrives. We often picture the future as faster, smarter, and more efficient, yet rarely stop to ask whether it is becoming more meaningful, more reflective, or more deeply human. In this talk, Peiheng explores how his generation has learned to imagine the future, why that imagination may be more limited than we realize, and what we risk overlooking because of it. If the future is shaped not only by what we create, but by what we learn to value, then perhaps reimagining the future begins there.

长期以来,刘沛恒一直按照许多学生被教导的方式去想象未来:要尽早准备、讲究策略、充满竞争。选对专业、考上好大学、走对前方的路。但他开始怀疑,这种思维方式是否在未来尚未到来之前,就已经把它变得狭隘了。我们常常把未来想象得更快、更智能、更高效,却很少停下来问一问:它是否正变得更有意义、更具反思性、更富有人性?在这场演讲中,刘沛恒探讨了他这一代人如何被塑造出对未来的想象,为什么这种想象可能比我们意识到的更加局限,以及我们因此可能忽略了什么。如果未来不仅由我们创造的东西所决定,也由我们学会去珍视的东西所塑造,那么,重新想象未来或许正应从此处开始。

OCAHS Youth Speakers


As a student with a passion for art, Celine Guo has posited a question: Is there any way AI can be used to help artists instead of replace them? Across the world, hundreds if not millions of people in the current moment are generating art with AI. After all, not only is AI art convenient, it's also easy to use. But this process, unbeknownst to many, does more harm to artists than one may think – it takes pieces of hundreds of drawings against artists' will to make one final piece. With this in mind, is there any way art could be made through AI? In this talk, Celine explores how AI can be used to aid artists in their creative process, not replace them. As technology further improves, imagination is the limit for what AI can do, not only for artists, but for creativity as a whole.

As technology becomes more present in our emotional lives, Lucy Huang explores a quiet but important question: in the future, will we feel more understood or more alone? Today, many young people turn to AI not only for answers, but also for comfort, reassurance, and the feeling of being heard. What may seem like a small shift, Lucy suggests, reveals something more significant about the way human connection is changing. If being understood becomes easier than ever, will we still practice the patience, vulnerability, and effort that real human understanding requires? Through those questions, Lucy reflects on how technology is reshaping emotional support for her generation, and what kinds of connection we may need to protect in the future.

As a young creator experiencing this revolution firsthand, Lu Sze Hang has been asking himself: in a world of constant change, what stays unbroken? This talk dives into the deepest, most lasting parts of humanity that technology can never touch. It’s about finding our power, not our limits, in the AI era.

What if technology isn't here to replace us, but to free us? As a music lover, high school student Jessie has seen first hand how art connects youth beyond words. In this talk, she shares her vision: when AI takes over heavy labor and removes material scarcity, art-not trade or weapons-will become humanity's new common language. She believes young people must step up, think critically, and help shape the future, not just watch it happen. A fresh, hopeful take on reimagining tomorrow from a young creative mind.

如果科技来到我们身边,不是为了取代我们,而是为了解放我们呢?作为一名音乐爱好者,高中生谢语凡亲眼见证了艺术如何超越语言,将年轻人连接在一起。在这场演讲中,她分享了自己的愿景:当人工智能接管繁重的劳动、消除物质匮乏之后,艺术——而非贸易或武器——将成为人类新的共同语言。她相信,年轻人必须挺身而出,进行批判性思考,并帮助塑造未来,而不仅仅是袖手旁观。这是一个富有创造力的年轻心灵对重新想象明天所给出的清新而充满希望的视角。

Scoring grades, GPA sheets, and test results. There were always endless numbers following us. For years, we believed that the numbers were the authentic answer to a very personal question: "Are we good enough?" After spending a summer attending a sailing camp, Jack realized that nothing from the weeks of experience would ever appear on future transcripts. Nobody would grade it, rank it. Then he started to wonder. If the moments that he felt the most "alive" was invisible to the grading system, what exactly was this system measuring? In this talk, Jack challenges the invisible scoreboards that follow every student through high school. He argues how these metrics are flawed - and the first act of genuine intelligence is not by scoring higher, but learning to build a ruler of our own. The significance lies in identifying our true self within this rapidly changing era of AI.
