Soccer ACAMIS this year was a rollercoaster ride. Although I was unable to finish the tournament on the field, my team still managed to show an outstanding performance, getting ourselves in the finals. As this was my last ACAMIS, I feel extremely proud to have even been able to have the opportunity to have a chance at first place.
Even though the results didn’t end up in our favour, I could not have asked for more from my team as everyone put double the amount of handwork into each minute on the field due to the absence of a player. I will never forget the way I witnessed my team carry themselves and each other throughout the three days, supporting one another, and even just making each other laugh. All those small moments are the ones I cherish the most, and will continue to cherish when looking back.
I know for sure that this team next year will come back stronger than ever, and put their best performance out there on the fields. Like a very wise coach once said, “What we do in the dark, shines bright in the light,” so keep working hard every training because the hard work will pay off. Go Phoenix !!
