走进华大，预见未来｜深圳橘郡学子探访华大基因全球总部

4月16日，深圳橘郡的同学们走出课堂，走进华大基因全球总部，开展了一场以“走进华大，预见未来——用基因科技，读懂生命的源代码”为主题的深度参访活动。

On April 16, students from OCAHS stepped out of the classroom and visited the global headquarters of BGI, carrying out an in-depth field visit themed “Step Into BGI, Foresee the Future — Decoding the Source Code of Life Through Genomic Technology.”

本次活动是橘郡PBL项目与CTE课程（职业技能发展课程）的重要实地学习环节。同学们通过沉浸式参观与专业讲解，全面了解了华大基因的发展历程、人类基因组计划的来龙去脉，以及DNA测序技术等生命科学领域的核心事件与前沿技术，在探索中激发兴趣，在思考中启蒙未来。

This activity was a key field-based learning component of OCAHS's PBL program and CTE courses. Through an immersive tour and professional explanations, students gained a comprehensive understanding of BGI's development history, the ins and outs of the Human Genome Project, as well as core milestones and cutting-edge technologies in life sciences such as DNA sequencing. By exploring these topics, they sparked their curiosity and began to envision their future paths through critical thinking.

在华大基因总部展厅，同学们了解了华大成立的背景与初心。从主动参与“人类基因组计划”1%任务的破冰之举，到如今在全球生命科学领域逐步崛起，华大的发展历程本身就是一部敢为人先、持续创新的奋斗史。

In the exhibition hall of BGI's global headquarters, students learned about the background and original aspirations behind the founding of BGI. From its pioneering initiative to voluntarily take part in the 1% mission of the Human Genome Project, to its gradual rise in the global field of life sciences today, BGI's development journey itself stands as a history of bold, pioneering, and continuous innovation.

在技术展示区，同学们深入了解了华大的基因测序技术发展脉络。从测序仪的国产化突破，到“剪刀差”理念所体现的研学产一体化模式，华大不仅实现了技术自主，更探索出一条科研与产业相互赋能的创新路径。

In the technology exhibition area, students gained an in-depth understanding of the development trajectory of BGI's gene sequencing technology. From the breakthrough in domestic production of sequencers to the 'scissors difference' concept that embodies the integrated model of research, education, and industry, BGI has not only achieved technological self-sufficiency but also pioneered an innovative path where scientific research and industry mutually empower each other.

华大不仅是科研高地，更是社会责任的重要践行者。在讲解中，同学们了解到华大的多年生水稻、多宝茄树、沙膜作物等突破性成果及其实际应用，让同学们看到基因科技如何从实验室走向田野，服务于粮食安全与生态改善。

BGI is not only a hub of scientific research but also an important practitioner of social responsibility. During the explanation, students learned about BGI's groundbreaking achievements and practical applications, such as perennial rice, the Duobao eggplant tree, and desert-membrane crops. These examples showed the students how genomic technology moves from the laboratory to the field, serving food security and ecological improvement.

此外，同学们还亲临先进的实验室现场，近距离观察前沿实验设备与操作流程。

In addition, the students also visited advanced laboratories on site, observing cutting-edge experimental equipment and operational procedures up close.

此次走进华大，是一次与科技前沿的对话，更是一次对未来人生的思考。

This visit to BGI was not only a dialogue with the frontiers of technology but also an opportunity to reflect on one's future life path.

同学们学习了生命科学领域的前沿知识，对行业发展有了更清晰的认知；通过真实科研案例，拓宽了国际视野，理解了全球生命科学领域的合作与竞争，为未来的学习与职业发展注入动力。

The students learned cutting-edge knowledge in the field of life sciences and gained a clearer understanding of industry development. At the same time, through real-world scientific research cases, they broadened their international perspective, understood the cooperation and competition within the global life sciences field, and gained motivation for their future academic and career development.

深圳橘郡将继续依托PBL与CTE课程体系，带领学生走进更多真实场景，在探索中成长，在实践中启航。
